Gene and I are planning to come but waiting on last minute things to work out. If everything is o.k. we will be there, may not have a space but we will work something out or just spend the day and leave. We look forward to seeing everyone. Our new TD has a leak and we can't find it to fix it. It is leaking into the left side of the galley. We have covered up the vent, put goop, (that is a technical term, right?), on the screws, and still it leaks. Any ideas?

Well, we will bring a shade cover in case it rains.

You have a little guy right? Someone else had a problem with a manufactured TD and it was the drain plug or the plug was stopped up or something like that. You might post it in the General Discussion and see if they pop up.

Good luck

No, the new one is a Hunter. The Lil Guy we bought from Rayvillian to use
until the Hunter was finished. The Lil Guy is fine. I kind of hated to say anything since it was new, but they say they have no idea what it could be and never had this problem before. It has us baffled.

See you at Petit Jean I hope.

Was just going thru the earlier posts on this thread and noticed Kit 76 says he was on site 53, but that's the one they gave us. Have you canceled?

:( .... We won't be able to make it to PJ for this one. Our vacation to KY and OH are two weeks after this and we need to save the gas money, estimated at around $350, for vay cay. I really wanted to go to this one because the park is so beautiful and has so much hiking but time was another issue with both of us. Anna works weekends and it's hard for her to get somebody to cover for her. A 7-hour trip both ways gets us in really late on Friday and an early departure on Sunday.

We'll see most of you at the LCG II in October.......... have a good time!!!

 Jeff and Anna

I didn't get my spot today, but I will get it Monday.

This could get tricky, since some uninsured nimrod ran into my tow vehicle two weeks ago. Allstate FINALLY got someone out to look at it yesterday, so the body shop can start repairing on Monday.

$8,000 damage, but all "cosmetic" -- no frame damage. Getting it back will be cutting it close. Time to call Crysler/Jeep and see what they have available in the press fleet with a trailer hitch.

I really wanted to take my Audi, though, because the roads in that area are fabulous for driving. We just did a story on "Scenic 7" in American Driver. I was hoping to get up early on Sunday and go for a spirited Sunday drive.

Oh, well.

Welcome to my world, we were rear ended in our TV about 6 weeks before IRG. I got on it ASAP because I knew it would be tight. They kept promising then dragging it out. I told them that they would have to reimburse my vacation or provide me a TV that could tow a trailer. I said that we were leaving on Fri but it was actually on Sun. What do you know, they got it to me on Friday. It was about $7000 in damage (front and rear), it was decent work with a "lifetime warranty". I want to take it back for a couple nitpicks but I never have gotten around to it.

Is it just us down here that get in binds with vehicles and trips? My daughter wrecked my tundra Christmas morning. We took it to our insurance co's prefered customer body shop (will not do that again) thinking we would get it back quicker as we would not have to wait on an adjuster. I told them I HAD to have my truck back on Wed, Feb 7th. I was going to a craft show in Ok city and needed it to pull my trailer. I was actually leaving on Thurs the 8th. They initially quoted $13,100. Long story short, Charles picked up the truck on Monday, Feb 13th with a grand total (including our $500 ded) $16,885. I ended up taking Charles' Tundra to OK city which was fine but mine has a heavy duty rear end and rides like a cadillac where Charles' truck is a single cab work truck with no bells and whistles. Boy don't we get spoiled.
Linda

BYW we are trying to make it to this gathering.

Okay friends...... termite treatment friday during the huge garage/estate sale ... sold a couch, ent. center, dinette, end tables, chair ... much much more.... and a good thing too --- the buyer needs to bump up the closing date to NEXT MONDAY !!!! The house I'm buying is empty so that's okay to close on it too.

So guess what I'm planning for the 27th? Well, the only thing I may pack is beer , wine, a comfy chair and sunglasses....

I don't think I'll get on to make reservations right away... I'll see what I can do though.
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Great OKJewels,

Congratulations on the selling/buying of the houses (Don't you love it when things work out?) I hope that you can make it!

well , all this rain and humidity (thunderstorms and rain again last night / this morning) has got the mosquitos out like crazy !!!! It's like a plague!!!

I have one of the citronella torch lamps and thought of buying some more, to circle around the sitting area at my campsite....

Do they really help?

Maybe we should all bring some ....
