There may be less people but I was able to get some oak firewood from a man I work with. We should be able to have good size fire.

Hopefully we'll be there Friday by three at the latest. :)

See you guys, then.

Will you have some flavored coffee as well?

Excellent! I will also bring some scrap plywood to burn.

We both have to work so we won't be out there until about 5 or so. I am planning to take the tear out there at lunch and park it in a site. Are we planning to use the same area we had last year?

That's fine with me. Do you remember what sites we had before?

We were kind of in a circle, backing up to each other, IIRC. That was nice.

Were there some pull-thru spots across the road from us?

Yep, a couple of pull throughs. Todah was in one.

I liked the arrangement where we all kinda backed up to a common area (like CD mentioned). I don't remember the site numbers but when I get there Friday at lunch I will check it out and park in a spot. Anyone going to be there earlier than that?

EDIT: Looking at the map, I think we were in sites 102 through 106 (Deer Ridge Area).

EDIT#2: I think this was the layout last year:

Woody -102
Dave -103
Lenny -104
Glenn -105
Me -106
Todah -50
Bobby -49
Danny -No Show

I'm hoping to arrive between 3pm and 4pm Friday.

See ya'll then.

Didn't Todah have a pul through? Was that where we helped her unhook and set up in the pull through?

That looks right. The bathroom is in the right spot, in relation to our circle. You are definitely right about Danny.

Look for the Swiss tear, and try to get one of the spots on that circle. I think we had our campfire at site 104 -- right in the middle. If you or the cat can grab that, it would be a good thing.

I'll try and grab site 104 (or something close) when I go out there tomorrow. I plan on dropping off the tear around 12:30 or 1:00 before I go back to work. We will be back out around 5:00.

Cindi just finished the chili and cornbread. She also made a peach and blueberry cobbler. I hope everyone will be hungry.

No crusty bread, but I do have a ginormous box of saltine crackers. MY wife considers them stale, but I haven't had anything to complain about with them and soup.

I also plan to make a DO apple cobbler for Saturday.

caseydog wrote:Okay, it looks like I can make it for at least Saturday and Saturday night. Friday depends on what happens in my Accounts Receivable department.

I have some of the soup/stew ingredients already, so I only need volunteers for the rest, which includes...

1. 5 pounds of cheap beef. I saw chuck roasts on sale for $2.49 per pound at Kroger today, and that would work just fine. If you want to cut it into 1/2 inch chunks in the comfort of your kitchen, and pop it all in a zip lock bag, that would be fantastic.

2. 1 five-pound bag of red potatoes. Don't cut them up, or they'll oxidize.

3. Two bunches of celery. This is another ingredient that can be cut at home and brought in a zip-lock bag. Wash well and cut into 1/4-inch pieces.

4. Two 16 oz. containers of sliced mushrooms.

5. Some nice crusty bread would make a good accompaniment, if someone is so inclined to supply it.

I have onions, all the liquids and all the herbs and seasonings. I also have bowls leftover from LCG, and napkins. Bring your own spoons.
