Linda: We will be arriving Thursday and staying 3 nights (Thurs through Saturday, leaving Sunday morning) so I will drop a check for $75 in the mail tonight.

[Palo Duro Canyon State Park is about 20 miles south of Amarillo.

Dogs are fine at Beavers Bend

Is there a way to make reservations at Palo Duro online? I couldn't find a way to do it from their web site.

The park is real good about letting us double up. Also, there are usually some cancellations. Either way there should be room. At the very least, if for some reason there isn't room, be sure to come by on Saturday night for the pot luck dinner.

Wow! Beaver's Bend is heating up!! Last year we had about half the normal attendance and a half empty loop which was a shocker! I think everyone was just focused on stuff that had to do rather than stuff they wanted to do so I am glad to see a sold out show!

Since I'm not a great cook, I'll be the first to say that I will be pulling a truck bed FULL of firewood which should get us through at least a night and a half the way we burn it!

We are going skip this year no green stuff the government stucks but we hope to go to Tyler State Park

Thanks for the link! We are booked for the night of April 23rd and will be arriving in Beaver's Bend on the afternoon of the 24th.

My excuse to the wife is that I'm building it for her to use on her Crypto-zoological expeditions into the American bush

The expeditions are to find Bigfoot, who/what else? That's reason # 1 for building strong (and very heavy), with heavy-duty external hardware, inner structural steel components/bolts locks, unseen "protective devices", and of course "3/4 inch plywood"! Method to my madness, or vice-versa.

Linda who is organizing the gathering is very busy with family stuff recently so sometimes there is a slight delay in replies but Inthought we were full at the time but as the the spinnernut sayeth, we always make it work and there is always a number of cancellations so I would feel very confident about going!!
