It looks like typical Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta weather - daytime highs low- to mid-70s, overnight lows low- to mid-50s and very little chance of precipitation. Enjoy!

Thanks for the update... I wore myself out this weekend trying to get the Jewel Box ready for the trip but I'm afraid I'll have to stay home

Grant is sending my hurricane hinge , etc and it should get here Tues or Wed, but my doors aren't hung yet either... I may have to shave some off to get them to fit right. :x And lots of other little things but we'll see.

Up up and away .....

The festivities start on Friday, October 6, at 7:00 AM with balloons launching from various elementary schools in town, then continues with a competition Friday evening. The first Mass Ascension is Saturday morning, and the whole thing runs through the following Saturday. It is held at Balloon Fiesta Park on the north side of Albuquerque. Details at http://www.balloonfiesta.com/.

Looks like it's going to be a great weekend. We should be there early Friday afternoon. Can't wait. Guess I need to get the hatch back on.

Have fun and takes some good pictures to post on the site when you guys get back.

I'm heading out tomorrow myself, but heading into the Lincoln National Forest for a little "quiet time". ;)

I think Kodak says that is the most photographed event of the year. It even beats the Rose Parade!
