Convoys to LCG

Postby oklahomajewel » Thu Oct 19, 2006 10:09 am

Well, I've been meaning to post and see when folks are leaving and if we'll cross paths anywhere.

My plan looks like
Leave OKC friday about 6 am
I-40 to Henryetta, OK (get there about 8)
then take Indian Nation Tpke from Henryetta to Hugo, OK(get there at 10)
Then US 271 to Paris, TX (get there about 11)
then Hwy 82 to Texarkana (get there 1 or 2 pm)
then Hwy 71 to Shreveport, (get there around 3 or 4)
then I-20 on to the PARTY!!!!

Actually , I wouldn't mind leaving OKC about 4:00 in the morning if I'm all packed and ready the night before !!!!
Or even leave after work Thursday but that means getting there in the dark, so that's not so good an idea.

We'll be leaving Friday AM. Time is flexible. We are taking Hwy 59 to Shreveport. We will be in Cleveland- Livingston area Friday morning.

We also plan to leave Friday morning, most likely around 10. I get on I-20 about 1.5 miles from my house, then straight to the campground, should take about 4 hours or so.

We will be heading out thursday morning about 7:00 am I hope.
head out Hwy 46 to Hwy 281 to FM306 to Fm484 to FM32 to FM12 In to San Marcos. Then hit Hwy 80 to Hwy21 to Hwy 36 to US 79 to I 20.
So pretty much a straight shot for me.  Hope to be there early after noon.

Steve, I live right near 79 but I'm gonna go up to Lott (East of Temple) and pick up a couple windows. We hardly plan on anything so the only plan I have is to get to Lott before the store closes. Most likely, we'll leave around noon.

Anna, Maggie and I are leaving on Thursday night and will drive to the OK/TX border and spend the night at a rest area. Our trip is going to be a total of 11 hours so we'll need as much of a head start as we can get. We should make it to the LCG around noon on Friday.

Hey Earl, what time to you think you'll pass 20 and spur-408? (top of the big hill just past Cedar hill SP)
