It's not set in stone, folks, but thought I'd post and let you know the more the merrier in case you're interested in camping there too !

of course Cedar Hill, TX is only about 4 hours away and that's Apr 28-29 so that should be my next trip.

May 5 is the Iris Festival in Ponca City, OK (north central area) and the Kaw Lake is closeby and looks very nice!! They take reservations on recreation.gov I think.

May 11-12 is the 60th Strawberry Festival in Stilwell, OK (east edge , north of Ft Smith, AR) and Lake Tenkiller is just about 30 miles or minutes away.. Kajamelu4 is hoping to join me there.

June 1-2 is the Pecan Festival in Okmulgee, OK (not far off I-40 , central, near Henryetta) and Dripping Springs St Pk at Lake Okmulgee is very close... Looks nice and looks like might be a good festival.

Then way off in Sept in Clarita, OK (southeast /central) is the Mennonite or Amish communities Quilt Show/Auction/etc for their school. McGee Creek Lake is pretty close, and I've heard it's a good lake.

Anybody else got plans????

Julie I have the week off before June 1st and 2nd ( last week I can take vacation or loose it ). I might be able to get the trailer put together enough to tow and camp in that weekend??
I have camped in the State Park you mentioned a few years back.
I will try because I need to be at least towable trailer by then to be ready for Petit Jean Campin at the end of July.

Well, here it is May already and things are busier than I imagined!!!! This weekend is not going to be north to Ponca City, but I have to drive to Dallas area on Saturday to bring back my son early from a band trip and Sunday is our Senior Sunday recognition and banquet.

Next weekend, the 11th / 12th I'd still like to try to go to either Tenkiller Lake out east or maybe try Sequoyah SP or Greenleaf SP out there for something different. My td is up at the neighbor's carport, he's going to help or do the interior cabinet for me, and I'm hoping to do some exterior painting and/or ac hook up work this nice weekend!

As far as the end of the month, I'm a little bit on hold because one son is graduating May 19 th and then not exactly sure yet when he is leaving for National Guard basics in Virginia Beach, VA !!!!!!!!! So I'll know more by the 19th ....
