Hey y'all.... Rick, Ron, Jody, Phil, Betty & Gene.....
Do y'all have any info you can give me about Strayhorn Landing at Lake Tenkiller? Me and another friend and her hubby/son are planning to go to Lake Tenkiller to camp on Sep 28-29 because the big Fin and Feather Fall Festival is that weekend !!! Another friend here told me it is a big, nice craft show and food and all... weather should be cooler too .
The S.P . doesn't take reservations but the COE's do and Strayhorn Landing is the closest one. I don't remember camping there before .
Have y'all?
(Is that enough "y'all" s...?)

I don't know Julie I only counted 3 ya'll's so I think that you could have gotten in a few more if you'd tried.

Well, actually I got around to checking Reserve America...
Strayhorn Landing is ALL booked for the weekend, and Snake Creek campground is the next closest... BOOKED -- that is, we booked spot #71.
This isn't really a specific teardrop campout that I'm sponsoring but anybody is welcome to come camping ! I'm sure Jennifer and her hubby wouldn't mind seeing more teardrop trailers.
The Fin & Feather Fall Festival is supposed to be a big one.

Julie, Looks like a good place to be and very nice Arts and Crafts show.
I tried your link but it was one in Canada. The only one I found that refered to the Festival was
Fin and Feather Resort that has a map.
If I'm not working that weekend I'll have the trailer ready by then

and join you all if space is available.

Last time we were there everything was full so we talked to the owner of the store next door to Fin and Feather to see if they knew of any place close we could park. They were so nice, not only did they offer us a nice grassy place with trees behind the store, he even stretched an electric cord out there for us. All we had to do was walk next door for all the festivities. How about that for luck. That was when we were still using the motorhome. We may try to come down, maybe just for the day, we will see. Sounds like fun.

Cool y'all.... I'm not posting this as a bonafide official teardrop gathering, but if any of y'all are there , let me know and I'll come by and say Hi or whatever..... I'll talk to my friend Jennifer and see if her and her hubby would care if any of my teardroppin friends are around ( I doubt it) .
I've been to the Fin & Feather before, for other stuff and know that the S.P. or the Snake Creek campground is only a few miles up the lake , so that's fine.
And the weather should be cooooolllllerrrr in late Sept.!!!

Hey Julie,
Donna and I have marked our calendar we can be there. Let me know where you all plan to camp. Is it a fee area?
Thanks!

Hey Phil and Donna.... look on reserve america for lake tenkiller and we have space #71 at Snake Creek.... it's a COE park , and Strayhorn Landing and Chicken Creek are already mostly full! Snake Creek is on the lower west side of the lake... you can google for the oklahomastate park site or the lake tenkiller website and see some pics.
Sure --- come camp with us.... actually it's not an official gathering, but me and the new boyfriend likely, sharing a spot with tent camping friends and their 7 yr old.... the Fall Festival is all day sat and sun over at the Fin and Feather resort I think.
See ya !!

I'm one of the lucky ones that a friend of mine at work has a trailer at the lake.

BUT I do not know if he is party-ing down that weekend?
If nothing else I can drive up and have dinner and see the crafts.

WOW!! It's been so long since I've even been to Tenkiller, I can't remember what it looks like!!
My tear is very near completion and it's first outing will be on Labor Day weekend, but I won't be in it.

My daughter and niece will be trying it out for me. Of course I will be nearby in the "other" trailer.
After that though, I will be doing a lot of camping in the tear!!!

Sorry to here about your need to escape Julie. But the Crafts Fair will be the thing too enjoy with friends and relax.
I will not be able to make it over brecause of working vacation releive for everyone here at work till LCG II.
I did try out my new camera ( could not find the cable to the computer to camera - $15 camera and a new cable is $30 DUH ) at the Tulsa Car show last Saturday.
Have fun at the Crafts Fair you will have more fun with your real friends anyway.
