Help...LCGIII is stressing me

Hi,
Do you know how hard it is to collect information in one place when "everyone" (else) seems to know about it so there is only a puzzle piece in any thread? :shhh: :baby: :woohoo:

We would really like to go to LCGIII so am trying to look at the variables for cost and a few other things.

Louisiana Cypresswood Gathering. Are the first 2 the name of a park? I can't find the park online, if so, to make a gas cost estimate

Because I cannot find it the park I can't tell how far to my friend's home. He's the only one left of my carmelite order brothers whom I want to meet soooo badly. In 2005 when we were finally supposed to meet at a congress of our Carmelite Order (we're secular arm) he stayed home for bypass surgery! And at the same time I was in for my 6 weeks hell (and death) So either we aren't going to meet on earth or we have to work hard at it.

Can't even remember the other couple questions but maybe if someone can give me those basic I can find my way.

And first of all.... are there any sites left?

Sorry to be so helpless. New MS lesion has put my out most of the year. I look Fine just FINE but don't ask me to 'member or figger or hold any worthwhile thought long enough to type it!!!!!!!!! So if there is a thread that has all the info in one neat space, please forgive me. I actually don't "see" some things. I mean, they don't register.

RSVP

merci beaucoup!

The park is called "Lake Bistineau State Park", Plugging that into Google Maps will give you the exact location and address.

There are probably spots left, we usually have the run of the park. You may want to check the map in the South Central section. Reservations can be made thru reserve america or you can call the park (the number is in Google maps).

First, the name of the park is Lake Bistineau State Park southeast of Shreveport, LA.

Second, here is a link to the sticky with the sites taken (that we know of):
http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=21455.

That should get you started.

...please don' stress...not good for ya...here is some info...LCGIII is held at Lake Bistineau State Park, which is about 25mi ESE of Shreveport La, near the town of Doyline La...you can call the La. State Park reservation system direct at 877-226-7652...
...a map showing available spots can be found here http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=21455 at last count there were still around 15 sites still available...don't worry as we basically have the run of the park and if all sites fill up, we can double up and even have the overflow/rally area available to us...
...alll this info and more can be found in the "South Central" section of the board, by looking at the various "LCGIII" threads, so get your reservation and comeon down and have some fun with us...as we say down here Laissez les Bon Temps(Tears) Roulet...aaaiiiiiieeeeeeeeeee......

Has the map been updated lately, or is there that many spots left?

Johnny, Steve(sonnetpro) keeps the map updated and as far as I know it is up to date...the map shows the sites, we, on the board have reserved and posted about...it does not show any reserved sites by folks that aren't teardropers are who have not posted their reservation number...the only way to know for sure is to call the La State Park's reservation system and find out...since we are getting down to the last dozen sites oros, it is advisable to get your reservation as soon as possible...the folks at Lake Bistineau have been absolutely wonderful about working with us for this event an in case of a sell out, we will be able to double up or use the overflow/rally area...we will find a place for everyone!!!!!!!

I know Steele (Diverguy) is probably not on the map, but if he can make it , he knows and I told him he can double up with me..

The park folks were SO VERY GRACIOUS and accommodating last year .... doubling was no problem and most sites had plenty of room ... even around the Halloween decorations !!!!

Dont worry about the fact that Missouri is technically in the North Central ... Gary and I go to a lot of South Central get togethers and EVERYONE makes us feel welcome .... no North/South wars here. I will repeat what everyone else says ... you HAVE TO GO!!! You will never have a better time or meet a greater bunch of folks. Trudy

Hey, don't get stressed. That is the whole purpose of LCG -- to unwind and be happy. :D

We are about as diverse a group as you can possibly assemble at one place at one time. This is a really great group of people.

Sign up, and come on out. I am sure you will enjoy the weekend. Good people, good food, and a beautiful location.

I look forward to seeing you folks there.

ANYteardroppers are welcome... the more the merrier and if you hide and get shy, watch out! you'll miss out on some fun!

I'll say what I said before, and you'll know why everyone gets so excited so early ... this is like the best family reunion ever! some folks you only get to see once a year, hugs and laughs all around, and people you actually want to see and spend time with and hate to leave on Sunday!
This is not like those reunions where you dread seeing people like your drunk uncle... well, there is Danny.....

OH! and if you didn't know , we have Halloween decor since it's close to the spooks and the moss hanging in the trees sets the mood!
The park last year had a cute little haunted trail (funny)
Trudy and Gary start off with a great breakfast and MJ's crew , dey know how to cook up some mighty fine groceries!!!
Bath houses and showers are very nice, and clean.
If you forget anything, we're all accommodating...
We take up so much space , so bring comfy walking shoes or a bicycle .
Kudos (awards) for fav teardrops, fav decor, etc
Tshirts ... pictures.... Tony's margaritas.....awwwwwww

I'm getting excited just thinking about it !!!!

yeee hahhhhH!

guess i forgot to mention before i went to bed ( 9 hours ago ) that i got site # 19 for us.

the reason i was "stressin'" was because robert and i both decided it seems like the gathering we should go to and i was afraid there weren't sites!

i was hoping it was a little spooky gathering. have you seen the photo of the teardrop that had a pumpkin costume? :)

no one has ever accused me of being quiet (the opposite) .robert is quiet but if he gets in the right group of *characters* he can identify with he is totally full of it.

is Aaron Neville coming???? :pictures:

Who needs Aaron Neville when you have a bigger celebrity -- MadJack.

He's had a whole year by then to finish his TD, so it should be getting close by the time LCG III comes around. All but the finishing touches. :R

And, there is No shortage of "characters" at this shindig.

And, the TonyRitas, made in a genuine In-Sink-A-Rator garbage disposal will loosen you up. ;)
