Get your gas tanks filled and evacuation supplies ready - they are predicting Tues landfall toward Galveston. So you all on the dirty side hunker down.

What a sneaky storm. We lost power yesterday because of the storms. When I turned on the news last night they were talking about the one in the Gulf!! Boy did this thing form fast. The water temps in the gulf are ideal so it looks like we're going to take this one headon.

Maybe it's time for some extreme kayaking, Steve ;)

Cheers

Guess with Charles working for TxDOT I guess he will be working lots of overtime with this thing getting ready to make landfall.

If any of you teardroppers decided to head north you are more than welcome to camp in our yard / pasture. Feel free to call me on my cell 936-635-2596.

hopefully Eduardo will just fizzle out.

That's a generous offer, with a cat 1 we are probably ok. I'll make a note of your number however, hehe. As quick as this has formed there isn't alot to do. George is getting some water, batteries and misc. I'm going by the bank before work. Usually we go to Waco to see my mom when we evacuate. They are supposed to use zip codes to let people know who needs to leave. But those that want to evacuate always can.

Hey Marilyn, Feel free to keep my number handy. Any teardroppers are always welcome to evacuate to our yard/pasture.

Looks like he isn't going to get too terribly strong.

Hang in there......

Hope it doesn't get to hurricane force. My husband was going into evac mode this morning so it was a relief to go to work and concentrate on something else. Things were fine until 4pm when someone heard that NASA in Clear Lake had closed at noon! Now all we can do is anxiously wait until the rain starts. I need to go out in the TD to find the flashlights. I just left everything in there from the last trip. It's just too hot to play out there. We have other flashlights and the projected time is 1pm landfall -- unsless he stalls. To be continued...

We live on Galv Bay, so weve battened up the hatches, on our "unfinished" TD.

Hope you stay dry, sounds like Bolivar is gonna get it. Maybe you ought to put a life preserver on each wheel

I'm tieing everything down. The storm changed directions and went north. It looks like it's coming straight over the top of us on the north side of Houston.
This is going to be a fun day. :(

It is a let down, had a real adrenaline rush. It's a good practice for the real thing. It will be a yucky day and I'm glad it didn't go to a full blown hurricane.
