Okay... I'm gonna start a thread......

Talked to Reo-Ron last night and he's checking into the deposit for Crawford S.P. and availability for October 3-5, 2008.

Who wants to go? Well, I know everyone WANTS to ....


Crawford S.P. is about 20 miles south of Fort Scott, KS and Ron's going to a small car show there, and mentioned there are other historic sites in Ft Scott as well. I'm sure you Kansans and Missourians can tell us about it.

Ps.... Crawford S.P. is about 2 hrs south of KC and about 1.5 hrs north of Miami, OK.

Kansas Campout for OCT 3-5 is official !!! I called Crawford SP and reserved the Multi use facility for that weekend and I will cover all the paperwork/deposit. All I need now is company. I think OK Jewel and Victor Star are both in. Who else?? We have ten electric included camp spots with a new bathroom facility, fire pit/ring, and covered pavilian. There is a small car show in Ft Scott on Sat and various historical sites in the area .

Four hour ( I think less than mapped - looking ) drive with Google maps ~ 190 miles?

I may see you Sunday morning ( early early ).


How early does the park open Sunday? I know I could call but some of you might already know. Just in the planning stage to see if it is do able for me after I get off work Saturday night at midnight.

Gary and I plus our friends (with tear) Mark and Em ... count us for at least Saturday night. I have to work until noon on Saturday but going to see if I can get someone to work for me. If so, the four of us will be down Friday evening about 8:00 pm.

There's a car show in Ft Scott...... can you write off the mileage and costs? If so, you get to bring the brisket and banana pudding and beverages!
