LCG... Prize / gift UPDATE

We'll do it again this time, but in a little different way! I've gotten the thumbs up from Madjack, and with only six weeks till our big party, I wanted to give you the scoop!

I do not see how this will take up a lot of time, nothing like last year, and I will get one or two folks to help me , so that it doesn't take up all of my time either.

Here's the "rules" :
You can participate as a person, a couple or family. This is a totally voluntary event and you should not feel obligated to 'play'.

Each person who submits a prize/gift will get to play & will win a prize.

Items for donation should be valued between $10 and $15.

Items should be any new, usuable item. Please do not submit any teardrop building components since 99% of the campers have a teardrop already.
Prizes do not have to necessarily be camping related

Prizes must be turned in at Oklahoma Jewel's site #33 by noon on Saturday. Do not wrap your prize.

This will be fun, but no gambling , no money exchanged. How to 'play' will be revealed at the gathering.

If you need clarification or if you'd like ideas for a gift or something , just PM me... I have tons of suggestions! haha

If anyone decides not to play, then gets there and changes their mind and wants to.... it will be fine. There will be last minute prizes/ideas, etc.


DO NOT POST WHAT YOUR PRIZE/GIFT WILL BE !!!! that's not necessary.

Well, hopefully it will be a bit of a game, but easy easy to "play"

What is the French/Cajun saying for "Let the Good Times Roll" ?

Here's a little hint Jack :

When a camper turns in a prize, they receive a "players" chip. They will turn this in during posted times to "play" to win a prize. One player chip is given for each prize turned in.

Prizes will be broken into groups named #2,#3, #4, #5, and #6.

I will make a simple "table" nothing expensive.
There will be one large dice with a star replaced on the 1.

People will be able to bring their player chip to my site at certain times to play for their prize. This will be like 3 to 4:30 and during dinner, like 6-7:30pm . (something like that)

The table and prizes will be supervised by me or my helpers. The camper will turn in the chip, roll the dice once and whatever number they land on , they get to pick a prize from that number group. If they land on the 1 /star... they can pick from ANY number group - like a wild card.

I think this might be a little bit of fun, no gambling , no money exchanged. There might be a few minutes with a few people standing around waiting to roll their dice, but that might be 10 minutes or so?

I think this will work out fine... and hope everyone likes it. I'll just need a couple of people to help me out .

If anyone decides to play last minute or say they forgot their gift, then I'll either have a couple of extra prizes made up that they can buy from me essentially, or they can put money in an envelope... that's always a good gift. haha

Please bring your 'donation' prize to my site #33 before noon on Saturday. If no one is at my site, please don't just leave the item there --- you need to get a player chip from me or my helper. Some of my helpers will have chips with them too, and collecting the things for me .

I'll post at my site the times when you can come play and win your prize.
Likely it will be Sat 2-dinnertime....
