This has nothing to do with teardrops or even camping.
On Jan. 13th, at 6:30 p.m., on all the main TV channels (4, 5, 9, and 25 for sure), there will be a show called 'Crystal Darkness. It is about meth in Oklahoma. As some of you know, this drug has devastated our family. (Thank God, not our children, but a niece, 2 nephews, and my husband's sister) We are dealing with its affects daily. Please sit down with your loved ones and watch this show. And discuss drug useage with your children, grandchildren, even the neighborhood kids. You can bet someone is talking, and it may not be the message that you want them to hear.

Hi Karol,
I did not know about the "meth" in your family but I know plenty of people in our area that "meth" has ruined their lives. Meth does not discriminate either. I am constantly surprised when I learn of people our age and much older that are on meth.
I wish I could see the program. Do you know if it will be on any of the satelite channels? like Direct TV.....

I will keep your family in my prayers.

Miss camping with ya.

Linda,
I sure do miss camping with you too! My teardrop moved one time last year. Hopefully this year will be a better one than last.
My hubby's family has been hit hard by drugs. His one and only sister, both her son and daughter, and his only brother's only son. That is who Lance (the 3 year old we have guardianship of) belongs to.

I have typed several paragraphs now and erased all of them. I don't want to sound like such a whiner. Our life gets harder as their addiction grows, but with our faith and our children, we still have a good life.

I don't know if "Crystal Darkness' will be available on any satelite channels. If I find out, I will let you know.
Thanks for your prayers.

Karol

Karol,

My prayers go out to you and your family. ...and I have known a person who was strung out on Crack (sp?), an addiction that specialist say it is almost impossible from which to recover. This person's life was redeemed after many of us prayed for him for years (even when it "seemed" like he was never going be free of it's power). Just remember Philippians 2:9-11, http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=57&chapter=2&verse=9&end_verse=11&version=31&context=context. If it ( the problematic situation, person, object, etc.) can be named, it has to submit to God.

I'll pray that you and yours don't grow weary of hoping.

Missing your face at the gatherings,

Todah

Karol, Thank you for telling us about this special and I hope we can view it in our area. Please do not feel like a whiner. We understand your pain. Almost every one I know has had their life touched by drug use by a relative or friend. The use by 1 person can impact so many lives and it is so hard to deal with. One reason (I think) being that a person who at this time is not able to make decisions has to make decisions that affect everyone. I am so glad you are caring for the three year old. The children are so helpless. We adopted a 2 year old nephew 31 years ago and he quickly became our son in every way. You will be in our prayers. Prayers have helped some of our family members and others are still in prayer. Hold fast to your faith. Ruby & Ed
