the thing that chaps me is that when you ship something, you are paying some one to deliver something for you and they are responsible for that mdse. while it's in their hands. If you hired me to go to your house and bring your car to you at work, if I bend it up on the way, that;s my fault, not yours. I think the postal service stinks, and I hope they read this post.

That's why I always buy insurance on packages I mail.
I don't sell on eBay anymore but my sister does and rarely uses the PO. Fed Ex is more cost effective and insurance is included in the fee up to a certain amount.

Glad you are getting your item replaced by the seller.

At the risk of hijacking this thread, what kind of dulcimer do you play? Do you build them as well?

Hey, I build the mountain dulcimers, the hammered dulcimers, the bowed psaltry, zithers, harps. lyres, and teardrops, Just about finished with my last teardrop. I think I am getting too old to start another one.

I agree with you wholeheartly. However the ones who are paid to bring your mdse. should be responsible enough to keep it safe until they put it into your hands. That's my beef!!!
