Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

First off, let me thank all who sent Donna cards and letters, they are very much appreciated. They helped to brighten her day.
Since coming home from the week's stay in the hospital, Donna's condition seems to keep improving. She is eating well and gaining strength.
At one point while in the hospital, I was having doubts as to whether I would bring her home, but she has proved us wrong. After returning home, she was pushing me to finish her casket. Just knowing it is done seems to have eased her mind, one more thing checked off of the list of things to do.
Donna is now talking about LCG IV and seeing our teardrop friends again. Looks like I have a reason to work on the teardrop some more.
Hmmm... a question, has anybody camped in a teardrop with an oxygen concentrator? Guess I'll have to keep it in the back of the truck and run an extension cord to it. She is on too high of a flow to rely on bottles only.
We can only hope and pray that she continues to improve so that we can make it to Lake Bistineau. Here's to seeing all of you in Oct.

Glad to hear she's doing better!

My husband uses an oxygen concentrator, though he doesn't bother to travel with it. But I know the size of our unit, at least (it's about the size of a largish dorm frig). Yeah, putting it in the truck seems like a good idea . They usually give you quite a lot of extra hose, so you can put it in the next room over and not be bother by the (quite low level) noise. Just keep the unit out of the rain, and it ought to work just fine! IMHO

I just wanted to say, keep the faith, and never give up. I have a dear friend who was also my manager for years when I worked for FedEx. About 12 years ago his wife was diagnosed with "terminal" cancer and was told she had only months to live. 12 years later she is still alive. Not to say that the years have been easy .. she has made numerous trips to MD Anderson's in Houston and had several surgeries each reportedly were probably going to be her last. Think positive ... and you two will join us all at LCG this year and many more to come. Trudy

Way to go Donna! We are really glad to hear the good news.

As for the oxygen concentrator just build you a spot on the tongue (get good insurance) or in the galley. You can hang out in Campgrounds that are nicer!
