Amarillo bound?

Postby vairman » Fri Apr 09, 2010 9:51 pm

Hi All, Terri and I just got back from visiting Ed & Ruby in Amarillo and we had such a wonderful time just sitting around eating and visiting, and telling tales. We only wish we could have stayed longer. So if you're ever passing through Amarillo, make sure that you drop by Ed & Ruby's for a visit. We plan on doing it again soon. Also we want to give Ed & Ruby A big Thank you for having us...

While driving, we saw this motor home when we were passing through Childress, It's definately different!

Greg, Now that is a different motor home. It was our pleasure to have you guys for a visit, even though it was short. Now we are really getting excited about Palo Duro. See you soon. Ed & Ruby

Sounds like you guys had a good time. I can't imagine a better host and hostess than Ed and Ruby. Definitely two of the nicest people I've met.

So, did you eat the 72 OZ steak while in Amarillo?

Hummmm a 72oz steak, sounds good but I think I would be sicker than a DOG if I tried to eat one that big...

that steak comes with trimmings -- a baked potato, salad, a drink, & I can't remember if there's dessert. Saw a fellow eat it one night (went to the Big Texan, which is a bit of a tourist trap, and got a much smaller but very tasty steak) -- you have to consume the whole dinner to get it free. If you can't, it's something like a $75 tab.

Obviously, that motor home has not been camping in a long time.

It has the saddest look on it's face!! :(
