South Central Tears Relay for Life Team

Postby davel » Fri Apr 16, 2010 6:37 am

SCT Team will participate in it's first Relay for Life in just 2 weeks. We now have 11 team members that will walk for a cure to cancer.

With only two weeks left we are still $400 away from our goal. Please visit our team site and help us achieve our goal.

If you want to do more than just contribute, we still have 4 positions open on the team.

Visit our team site and make a small contribution to one of your team members or just to the team. It's fast, easy and painless. :worship:

I might try to come down and join you ... it's an all nighter that Friday night , right? I would have to leave early though, or come join you in the middle of the night

You're also walking in memory of Donna , Jeff's wife . right?
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Come on down and join us Julie. Yes we are walking in honor of Donna. If it helps just one person or family to not go through what we have, I will walk in as many relays as I can.

Thanks to Dave & Cindy for letting us be a part of this :applause: . We had a good time at the event and raised some money for a good cause. Also thanks to everyone in SCT that supported us with their contributions. We'll do it again next year.

Thank you to Dave and Cindy for getting me involved in the Relay. It is for a good cause and was a lot of fun. Thanks to all who participated and those who donated.
We were afraid the weather would cause the relay to be canceled, but it held off until close to the end.
Hopefully next year we can encourage a few more of our South Central Tears members to join us. Walking for 12 hours with only six team members attending, is slightly exhausting, but we made it. And although the ACS site doesn't show it yet, we made our goal to raise $1500 too! Again, thanks to all who donated, we couldn't have done it without you.
I drove a total of 622 miles to be a part of this and will do it again next year! ;) but I think I'll bring the TD next time.

I want to thank all of the SCT group for the support that they provided for us to reach our goal. We did break through our goal of $1500 and achieved 1538. Who would of thought that!!! Our team was small but we had fun and we'll definetly get signed up again next year. I'll bring my tear too, good place for a quick nap. All night is a long time. Please visit our photos and check them out. Tammy did great as Walker - Texas Ranger and Super Tiger even walked a few laps for our team. I want to especially thank our youngest team member, a new teenager, Morgan manned our basketball toss and earned the team another $55 at the event. What a great night with friends.
