Beavers Bend Resort Park in 2006

Postby Coca Cola Teardrop » Tue Oct 18, 2005 12:37 pm

We are planning to go to Bevers Bend Resort Park in the Spring of 06'.
Beavers Bend is in south-east Oklahoma.

We have been told that it is a wonderful place. There was a motorcycle rally there a few months ago and a friend happened through there. He said it would be a great location for a teardrop gathering. We will be taking the motorcycle for sight seeing excursions. We have not planned a date yet but wanted to share our thoughts. This park fills up very fast so I will try to pinpoint Charles on a date. (He has been busy reroofing homes since Rita came through here)

Hi Linda,
Bevers Bend State Park is a really nice place to "get away from it all".
I camped there many times when I lived in Oklahoma. As I recall the fishing was really good.

Linda, I'd really like to go. Don't know if I'll have the tear finished by then, but we'll see. And yes, it is a beautiful area. I used to do a lot of hiking down there on the David Boren trail.

Hey!!! you read my mind.... I wondered if anyone would be interested in a gathering or camping there , but never mentioned it here on the board!!

I hope I finally start my BREDBOX in the spring so that will make me get on the ball!!! Either way I WILL BE THERE!!!

It looks like several people are thinking of '06 gatherings...

Our Comet will not be done by then, will ya'll tolerate tent campers?

My wife and I would like to see some real live tears before we get too far on our Comet build, especially the hatch setups.

Jody, Julie and John, we are looking forward to meeting more new teardroppers. John, tent campers are definately welcome and we all love to talk teardrops and have show and tell. Will look at calendar and hope to post a date for everyone to consider next week.

Sure hope it's not past April. It's too darned hot down there past then. If it's April or sooner, maybe Fran and I could come down and tent camp.

OK everyone, how does April 7th, 8th and 9th sound?
If those dates sound ok to everyone I will get started on reservations. I will contact the park and talk to them about grouping us. We are flexable on dates. So if that weekend doesn't sound good to several of you then we can change it. I really just picked a date. We will be there late Friday evening.

Linda:

We can be there the 8th and 9th. The wife has teacher meetings all day on the 7th so that is out for us.

April 7th, 8th, and 9th sounds good to me.
I should be done with my tear by then. If not, I could always bring the "other" trailer.
