Shelley, with the SW Teardrop n Vintage group has paid the deposit for the entire Lakeview and Big pine loops! Due to this we pay her and also due to this, is will allow us to actually pick a specific site!

Friday 3/17
6 pm Hotdog cook out / dutch oven competition.
Hotdogs will be provided. Please bring food, potluck style if you wish to participate.

Saturday 3/18
8 am Omelette in a bag breakfast (Process may begin then but 8:30-9 and you are safe to get a spot in the pot)
1-4pm Public Open House (Actual public, like people from the town who saw us on TV will drive over for the afternoon, lock up valuables)
6 pm Group Photo (if your late no one will Photoshop you in)
6:15 Door Prizes (Would be nice to bring something small to donate)
6:30 Pot Luck
7:15 Awards (Best camper = Thomas, coolest camper = Thomas, most modified camper = Thomas, camper that looks most like a 70s boogie van interior = Thomas ... too bad those aren't the categories! they do have best overall and best lighting and others.

The first site on the left as you enter Big Pine loop is the main site where door prizes and the list of activities and all kinds of info will be. I think it's 57 but don't quote me!.

I think I made a reservation and paid a deposit for site 72 (Friday). Linda and I hope to see y'all there in about a year (if not sooner in about a month at Beavers Bend).

we have dual citizenship, tnttt and SWVT, but we booked in Lakeview. We did the walk several times to Big Pine, so we will see yall there!

Thomas, the reservation link did not work for me...either here on our site or on their FB site.........

...checking their FB page, I see all sites already reserved...checked SP website and they show no sites available for weekend.........

Hey MadJack, it is awesome that you're interested in this gig, it' a huge gathering of the SW teardrop and vintage group and out group and TX Vintage Trailers.

Shelley is the kingpin of this gathering (SW teardrop group) she wanted to be sure we all were able to get sites and because she apparently has deep pockets she reserved both the ENTIRE Lakeview and Big Pine loops and then created her own (and now defunct) website to sublet the sites (with a nominal surcharge of course!) TX state parks don't let you reserve a specific site but since Shelley bought them all, we were able to pick and choose among ourselves. Sooooooo.. (this is getting thick isn't it)

This is the second tine we did this and the first time we felt like alot of our group was separate because we were, and the SW group claimed the lakeview loop, so I decided to buy up a bunch of sites in the back corner of the Big Pine loop and offered those to the group (at no additional fee) and from there we literally filled in the middle.

All that crap being said, there are ALOT of newbies who reserved from the SW group who probably don't even own a camper anymore since we reserved last April and there will be plenty of cancellations. I am going to contact Shelley now and let her know that we have a priority request for any cancellation in the proximity of the South Central crew!

Hey MJ, I got Shelley to create a waiting list with you at the top and she sent a reminder to people that if they are gonna cancel to actually let her know and not just no show because we gots people who want to take that spot!!! The sites are reserved so I'll make sure to grab one in our area because we took over an entire corner of a loop! More to come!
