Wow I quit drinking a month ago and I still can't read! I saw that you posted it in Jan and for some reason I thought it WAS in January
and totally missed that the gathering is in May I reserved 36 next to my biking buddy Brad!

Don't feel bad, Thomas...when I went to the TPWD website I was sad to see there were no sites open. Then I realized I was in March, not May! Did a forehead slap and got back into the proper month. Amazing! Available campsites!
Remember, "read" is one of those four-letter words, like "math" or "work."

I have modified my reservation to start on the 11th. I should be retired by then. That will be the start of a two week trip to east Texas to meet my new Grandson.

The bad thing about only having friends 10 years older than me.... they all retire 10 years before me!!! Congrats man!!

Thank You Thomas! I do not know exactly how old you are, but I am 70. I have been in the same career for 51 years. 49 at this shop I am working at now. I do not know exactly what day I will be singing that Johnny Paycheck song, as they are closing this shop when I walk out. I have to finish all the planes on my current list before I walk out. It will be in three or four weeks. The most important part of your statement to me is that you consider me a friend! Thanks!

I cancelled Friday night late. I had two reservations Tuesday and Wednesday then Thursday through Saturday. Got an E Mail showing both cancelled. Sure hated to cancel but sh*t happens!
