Ok, I am sure most of you have read that Dave and I are going to do a Parks Marathon on Easter Weekend. :? After the latest Inks lake disappointment, I am now looking at private parks and adding them to our list - maybe taking some state parks out.
Does anyone know of nice but inexpensive places in your area that might be good gathering places. Check them out and give us pics of them.
So far we are going to Wolf Creek Ranch and Pecan Park in San Marcos to check them out.

Cindy,

I couldn't get your link to work for Wolf Creek, but this one works...is it the same place?

Gibbons Creek looks interesting, so they have 17 sites? We would have to see if we reserve for a group.

Steve - We're going to talk with the people at Pecan Park on Friday. Cindy liked that one too because they had a pool.

if you wanted to look at sites around Inks lake there are several RV parks around lake Buchanan. Popy's on the point and Cedar lodge to name a couple.

There is a park on the northwest side of Joe Pool Lake called Loyd Park. They have two group sites that have 10 campsites each plus a group pavillion in the center. The park will also let you reserve specific sites by number so smaller groups can camp together. They have a total of 221 campsites with water & electric. We have been camping there for about 10 years and always had a good time. The website is www.loydpark.com. Hope this info will help.
