We bit the bullet and sent our registration out for the spring fling. When it comes to the potluck what is everyone bringing? We are trying to figure out a dish as we don't normally cook for others when we camp.

Well if you don't feel like cooking bring a big bag of chips, or maybe a dessert from the grocery store. anything works out fine.

We are actually pretty decent cooks. The tough thing is trying to how much and what to cook. I might just say skip it and get a 5 gallon cooler and make rootbeer for one of the nights.

Ya know, we like food! You put anything in front of us, we'll eat it and smile.

Mild, we are a bunch of old farts, except me, LOL

Not everyone is going to be old farts. (I am bringing my two year old to bring down the average.):o

The spice level is good to know. We have taken to making our own chili powder and have some really good curry powders from Penzies that always tempt me.

Mrs. Dog and I are noobies to the Spring Fling. At the Fall Brigade, we noticed that there weren't a bunch of desserts. We're thinking of doing something in the dutch oven in that direction.

I'm not too picky when it comes to eating.

Sounds good. I'm doing a pineapple upside-down cake and a main dish I haven't decided on yet.

I was supposed to be teaching a Dutch oven workshop in Post Falls on Friday, but I have my priorities straight - I will see you all at Spring Fling.

With a Pinneapple Upsidedown cake and a Peach Cobbler already taken, I will have to come up with something else for a dessert. Also working to get a Popcorn Chicken recipe adapted to the dutch oven.

Packing for a great Spring Fling,

Hi Gary,

We will miss you and Shannon as we have for the last Spring Flings. Hopefully someday again you will be able to attend. DO's sure have made for a social event at meal times.

The trip to Utah was spectacular. For anyone that hasn't had a chance to see that part of the country, it should be put on their bucket list. It is truely worth it. I hope to get some photos up on here or at least link to my photo album with a story of the trip. We had a great time and great weather until the Dam Gathering. Then it was like any winter rain we have here.
