About 1,000 ft above Colorado Springs/Garden of the Gods on the Rampart Range road.

Finally at the group camp for Walk The Winds 2018, after 1,500 miles. We later had 15 minutes of rain, the total for the trip, which turned the dust to mud.

Overall, yes. It was nice to get out of the heat. The temps down below where around 100, we got to 10,000ft and much cooler. The washboarding got kinda crazy at times. The Rampart Range road was 60 miles of dirt. Too many people driving way too fast.

The entire trip is summed up here:

Pulling another trip from the past out. This one is a drive along a old stage road to a stage station and then out to visit a wreck site.

Just so you know, I will be meeting up with some people from this forum for a trip in September http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=68730 .

Here is some video from last year if you missed them.

I'd love too, but have used most of my vacation already. I met Wolfgang at WTW, and would really enjoy meeting the rest of y'all.

I have a friend coming back from Alaska via Calgary/Montana, she is headed into Idaho tomorrow on her way back to western Oregon for homebase.

Just a 5th wheel 42' setup, so offroading is a no-no for her, but I'll be out there one day. Likely just car camping.

Still beautiful!

Look me up when you are ready to head over. Might be able to work something out.
