I plan on being there Thursday night. May have a friend show up or meet me somewhere between here and there. Also, another may come out Friday night and stay till Sunday.

I am planning some day trips out to see the sights.

So, I probably should have asked this earlier, but I'm considering coming and need to ask now. I normally either dispersed camp by ourselves in the national forest or hit a campground with our more camper endowed friends, so I don't have a self contained bathroom setup. What bathroom accommodations are there? Are there bushes more than a foot tall to dig a cat hole behind? Are there any established facilities?

No facilities. If you did not bring it, it's at least an hour drive to get whatever you forgot.
True dispersed camping. Looking at picture from last year, its about 50 to 100 yards to find sage brush or rock to hide behind.
If you look at a satellite view of 42.939794, -113.391972, that is about were camp is.

Hope this helps............

You will see the big water tower on the north side by the rail road tracks.

From the water tower follow the road east for 2.08 miles to the turn-off for Arco road (its gravel) and turn left heading north. Marked in green on the map below

Cream Can junction is 14.7 miles on Arco Rd. and the junction is marked. At the junction turn west you will be able to spot the camp on the south side of the road about 0.4 miles down the road.

Cream Can Junction is in Google maps.

Made some signs to put up in critical spots

Hopefully that will help.
See you all in camp 8) :D

Hey guys, I'm going to have to bow out of this one. I had a 4 day training dumped in my lap on Monday with no warning and now everything I need to get done for the week is getting piled into Friday.

Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of having fun.....
Unfortunately, that has happened to me too.
Guess we all have bills to pay.
Anyways, try again for next year. Mordor v7.0 :) 8)

All packed up and ready to go.
Heading out after lunch Thursday. :applause: :D

Been watching the weather.
The rain forecast early in the week is gone. :)
Looks like temps during the day should be in the low 60's with high 30's late at night.

Should be great sleeping weather.

So u all soon

I was bored so I left early, never expected to be the first one here. I pulled off at a trail about 1/4 mile west of the cream can, not sure if it's the right spot but I didn't see a campground.

I'm on top of the hill to get signal right now but might take a nap so don't drive by without knocking.

I'm packing up right now. I should be there tomorrow evening if everything goes according to plan. Hopefully it is good. My wife is skeptical of camping in the barren wastelands with strangers off the internet. :D I hope the weather is better down there. It's been alternating between snow and rain all day here and supposed to snow 4" tonight.

You're missing a great time, beautiful area, sheep invasion is over but plenty to explore still.
