While scouting out our next trip, I found this. Right as I found a different place to camp.

That would be a very expensive steak since you're not even allowed to take them out of the water to unhook them.

I was gifted two steaks from a fisherman who had the good fortune to hook one in an area where certain sizes don't have to be put back.

I was looking at Lake Wallcott but decided to stay at Murtagh lake this weekend. Gonna check out Shoshone falls then twin falls and possibly see the Stricker homesite (ghost town). Also do a ton of fishing.
Anyone in the area that wanna come visit/fish your more than welcome, shoot me a PM.

Been doing alot of southern Utah the last few years. This year we decided to throw a dart at the map . It hit the twin falls area .

I wish I could, I'm up North so don't have any secrets down that way other than to grab a copy of the rulebook when you get your license since there can be some big changes between small sections of water.

Live at Murtagh. Kinda windy but the sun just came out.

Wind died down and caught my first ever cat fish. Then was greeted with a glass smooth lake for a great sunset.

We fish from the middle of Idaho to up north... ;) Not always in the big timber but sometimes.

:frightened:

A few more pics.
1st , the cove side of the lake and then Shoshone falls. While going through town we stopped at a local pizza joint. Good stuff (Monterey Jack's pizza in Kimberly) . Brought that back to camp, neighbors jealous.
Everything was reasonably close about a 25min drive from our camp even the Stricker homesite. ImageImageImage
