Salt Lake City here- 39th south and 700 east more or less. we have a "project tear" right now..We COULD camp in it- but its not "done" yet...(See Album) we probably bought this shell from the same guy you had noticed had never moved his...!...The plan is to insulate, finish the galley, and ad a simple water system- but not add electrics and a lot of "camp ground-y" type stuff because we do most of our camping in more "primitive" area's...way up dirt roads and where there's sand and mud....I bought a roof vent and some aluminum for the top and we're laying out the proposed galley... will redo the doors too at some point...

Welcome to the forum and to the Utah Group. Keep an eye out for any future "gatherings". There is one in Hanksville coming up in May I think. So work hard and, "Git er done!" as they say here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hello,

I started the Salty Tear Drops club page a few days ago.
The club is open to all Tear Drop builders, owner or users.
I hope you will all come and join the Salty Tear Drops on line...
The Salty Tear Drops on line has club news, rally and camping information.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/salty_teardrops/ Our next camp out is May 11,12,13, Hanksville, Utah.
The Run for Robbers Roost!

Yogi Bear"

I am pretty sure Platbiker is a member of The Utah Salty Tear Drops too.

The Utah Salty Tear Drop has over 40 member as of today.

What I have found by starting the Utah Salty Tear Drops group is...
Most of the Utah Salty Tear Drops member are not from Utah at all!

U.S.T.D. members are from, Kansas, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California. Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado! Are the ones I know of for sure. I surprised when member tell me where they are comming from.

Most of the Utah member are from the Ogden, Ut. area. A few in Salt lake County and Utah County. I have members in Pangutch, Utah and St. George, Utah. Even one in Garden City, Utah!

I hope this helps to answer your question or pole.

Have a Fun Day!

Yogi,

I find your statement above to be erroneous. Since eligibility for some of your gatherings entails membership in the salty_teardrops and you are extremely SELECTIVE of membership, I cannot see how your claim of "The club is open to all Tear Drop builders, owner or users" is true.

I just received this from Yahoo.......

(Your request to join the salty_teardrops group was not approved.
The moderator of each Yahoo! group chooses whether to restrict
membership in the group. Moderators who choose to restrict
membership also choose whom to admit.

Please note that this decision is final and that Yahoo! Groups
does not control group membership.)

:( NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

Hello,

Thank you for your posting.

I am sorry you are still having problem with the new membership policy change I made at salty teardrops. As I explained in my email to your last week.

I am still waiting for your reply.

What can I tell you? Things change. As the owner of the group I reserved that right to make changes...

Sorry your not happy camper,
Paul

BTW: The Salty Teardrops Group is NOT a Club! I changed that too.

Paul,

I have never received any emails from you. The only thing I received was the Yahoo Groups rejection email. I was not aware of any policy changes. Are you only accepting members who are residents of Salt Lake City or is it only T@B owners? I suppose you are welcome to exclude anyone you wish but this seems counter-productive to the TD lifestyle...

Sincerely,

Deserthawk

Deserthawk,

I would highly recommend that you read the cover page to any group you would like to join. If you have questions. Ask, through a email.

Are you only accepting members who are residents of Salt Lake City or is it only T@B owners?

Paul,

I have not assumed anything....and even if I had, it is not I who am acting like an ASS.

Thanks,
