Getting together in So. Utah.

Has anyone ever been to Cedar Mountain area. There is a lot of BLM dispersed camping at the top. Temp's are in the mid 70's and mid 40's. There is Duck Creek village near by for supplies. Cedar Breaks Ntl Monument is close by. Another cool place is Duck Creek Campground. It is tucked into a beautiful forest. The whole mountain is great! It sure would make for a great get together for some people. Especially Ut. AZ locals.

Plan a weekend, pick a location and post it here. If people can make it, they will come. I would like to camp down there. I have driven from Cedar City to Panguich once and was quite impressed with the area and the campgrounds that we drove by. There is a group on the Tearjerkers that might be interested, too.

Depending upon the weekend, I think my arm could be twisted ... oooh ow! Navajo Lake is another possibility right close.

The snow's gonna have to melt a little first though ... last I heard there's still 8' up there.

Roger that. Two days ago, Cedar City got 12 more inches. Yes, waiting is good. It has been an unusual year so far. Brian Head is over 400 inches last I heard. I'm sure it is more that that now.

Cedar

Keep us posted !!! All of that area is beautiful in the summer, and only about 4 hours from Vegas. Panquitch has campsites, plus fishing.

How about August, so that we have recovery from IRG ???

Depending upon the timing, I would be interested. I have camped at Cedar Breaks before and the Duck Creek area is beautiful in the summer. Up around Panguitch Lake is good too. I kinda like the August timeframe idea.

Gary,
Take a look at the Destinations link at the top of the page...
There will be several people traveling through your area before and after IRG3.0 in July...
Teardroppers love to hit multiple gatherings when possible.
