Cabela's in Reno. Almost here. Not to late to come

April 18th, Cabela's Reno. 9am to 3 pm.

The teardrop display at Cabela's will be August 18th (Saturday) which is during Fall Outdoor Days celebration. They will provide us with discount cards as a thank you gift, and possibly lunch! This is open to anyone who wants to bring down their teardrop.

He is going to put us right out front on either side of the entrance, along the curved driveway. If you have not been there before, it is right next to Boomtown, which has an RV park where you can spend the night either before or after, or you can dry camp in the Cabela's parking lot. Bathrooms are available at Boomtown 24 hours. As time gets closer, we can talk about if we want to do a dinner Saturday night, or let Boomtown cook.

More details to come, but if you are interested in showing off your trailer and maybe making some more converts to teardrop time, let me know as I need to keep track for the event coordinator of how many are coming.

I'm sure you know that Kay & I will be there, Debbie, but I just got word from a friend of ours in the Carson City area (Bob Scully) that will be bringing his beautifully restored KomPac to the show! KomPacs are those 14' fiberglass trailers that look like the back of a '53 Ford station wagon with a boat on top. This thing is gorgeous!

cool Grant! Can't wait to see it. I checked out the KOA site next door to cabelas and they want 45 bucks a night for a site. We may want to think about alternate accomadations. Maybe cabelas will just let us camp out in the parking lot.

You betcha. Looking forward to it myself. If anyone else is planning on coming, let me know. We can spend the night on Cabela's grounds, using boomtown's rest rooms, or stay at boomtown's RV park if you want showers and such. I will also bring a porta potty and tent.

Make sure they tell the guys that clean the parking lot to take the day off. Last time here in Arizona they woke us up with there vac truck and blowers.

Hello Debbie: I found two more couples from the Reno area that want to come show off their TDs as well. They are not members of the forum, but they both have built there own TDs in the last year or so. Pencil in Leroy and his wife, Dave and his wife. Dave was at the last "Dam Gathering".
We need to keep coming up with more TDs so we can take over the parking lot.

We currently have 11 trailers coming to Cabela's! I will be contacting the event planner this month to firm up the plans. I am thinking 9am to 3pm. If anyone has another idea for time, let me know. It will probably quite warm as it is mid summer. Although many trailers will be under the overhang, probably not all, so bring shade and fluids, but not the kind that would make you do or say stupid things. Let me know if I have missed anyone on the list I am keeping on the first page, or if your plans have changed. Let me know if you want to do a group dinner at say, Boomtown which is close to Cabelas. I think it would be fun to bring some potluck snacks, kind of like a tailgater event. Jamie (event planner) did say he would provide us lunch, but heck, nothing wrong with a little recreational eating now is there? Kathy from Vegas is going to send up the Nevada Banner. Kay, do you want to bring the Jefferson one? I think I will put together some cards with TNTT, Tearjerker and teardrops.net forums sites, and of course anyone should bring their own cards or literature about their tears or business.

Wow Debbie, you've put together a must see event! I'll be there to see all the trailers and meet so many I've come to know on line. And I'll be sure DW is there, she has yet to see one close up even though she is all in favor of the coming build.
