Debbie & Randy: There is very little in San Francisco proper; but, if you can tell me your expected route, I'll check in my book to see what campgrounds are near or along the way. I'm guessing that you'll be coming in on I-80? ...I'll start looking.

The neighborhood I live in parking is at a premium . Camping around here is sketchy. There is Lake Chabot campground truthfully I havent been up there in years. Del Valle in Livermore has some nice spots, that would probably be 40 miles to TI. Let me check some stuff out.

For those looking for a place to crash Friday, Down here by "Morgan Hill" there is Coyote Lake Campgrounds. It's a bit of a detour, maybe an hour or so south, but you could caravan with Dan and I on Saturday Morning. You just need to promise to pick up anything that falls off my trailer.

Dan, if we need to be there between 8 and 8:30 what time should we leave here? 6:30?

I responded in PM before reading to the end of the thread. If there's no Friday overnight, we're going to have to pass, which is breaking my heart!

Roy and I will come by after my race. You can laugh and point at me covered in mud and hay (unless it's too unbearable and i head home to shower first), we can hit some food trucks and see people, and maybe Roy will bring some of his homebrew to share as well.

Even if the NevadaTear folks have a spot, others might be looking; so, here’s a little more campground information.

Lake Chabot (Anthony Chabot Regional Park
(Showers; SR=7)) &
Del Valle Regional Park are good ones to the south/southeast of San Francisco.
(Showers; SR=7)
Samuel P. Taylor SP is to the north of San Francisco, near San Rafael.
(NO showers; Food lockers; SR=9…possible 10 minute road work delay)
Olema Ranch Campground is near Marin, Point Reyes, and Golden Gate Rec Area
(Showers; SR=4)

SR= Scenic Rating...: 1=…Eh; 10=Wow!

Cathy and I are still in. It's a 4+ hour drive for us, so coming from SLO on Saturday will be a problem, unless there was some place close, say, in Morgan Hill... to spend Friday night.
