It is a 500 Sportsman. The year is 1953. I forgot the month but it is stamped on the fount. It should fire right up. There is a lever under the burner, one side for light and the other for when it gets going. It takes a while for all that cast iron to heat up but when it gets hot it burns real nice. It does not like drafts. There was a sheet metal wind deflector the goes around the posts for the grill. I might make me up something some day for mine.

I got home last Monday and have finally found the time to post...
Great camp out everybody, perfect size group, great meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends.

You seemed to like BM, but I really got the feeling you found what you are looking for at Toroweep. But then, it's all about a few good friends.

So next year we are planning for june, 2nd or 3rd weekend. Hopefully the campground part would still be green then, and less allery stuff. Any preference??
