Its official, the "SLO Waffle Off" I am all for scratch batter I gots a trick up my sleeve. If each of us make hmmmmmm 12 waffles and there are a dozen cooks it could be gross. 2 for judging and 10 for the population.

Hey Matt,

I'm sure looking forward to having my very own cast iron waffle iron! I'm going to be at a little disadvantage since I won't have practice time, but I'm game to give it a go.

I won't be talking smack at my competitors. Well...not much at least. 8)

Count my Wagner in on the Waffle cook off.

Who is going to Judge the contest Image

Will it be a blind Judging contestImage

What if any are the rules that may limit the contestentsImage
Such as 1 or 2 waffles on the plate or any other stipulationsImage

I don't think we need any "specific" hard rules...let's just everyone come up with their best effort, have some fun and razz each other. I'm sure everyone will have a winning recipe and everyone gets fed....and for those not participating in the actual waffle baking...I'm sure we could use some juice or fried pork products!!! MMMMMMM Pork, what a mythical beast it is...(Homer Simpson) Doug

I Just wanted to have a bit of fun with Doug when I challenged him; as we had fun joking about it at Mendocino.

I second what Doug said above . No official rules or judging just come over and enjoy the Waffles.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

I'm practicing Lee....bring your "A" game...  and it sounds like we are going to have a lot of participants, the more the merrier!! and when it is all said and done...we can have a round table or panel discussion on the merits of Griswold vs Wagner vs Ideal vs whatever you have, unless we actually get a life!
