Hey Dean, I need some gryphs on the side of my trailer, if yours isn't done I can bring some black paint and a brush, give you a chance to practice.... :D
Hey Grant I can get part of the way there on the Pony express trail from here to the NV. line.. 8)

Moki,

I took my tear on a part of the Pony Express trail this summer. About 30-40 miles from Fish Springs Utah to Nevada. Wonderful area. Camped close to the station after Callao Utah. I also have a Kokopelli in my galley. :D

Hey Wolf, had a friend from Rupert, name of Banner. If you go to this thing in NV. are you going to drop down to Windover or do you go south thru Jackpot?? I think from where I am at, I would go thru Delta and across. I spent a lot of time in the West Desert of Utah, metal detected all of the old mines I could find and have been thru Celico, a couple of times. The pony express trail is to rough for a nice trailer, I think the eco nuts have forbad the state from running a cat over it. Jim G :(

Moki

For this thing I will probably go through Jackpot, Wells. But I often go straight south from Burley Idaho, to Grouse Creek Utah and on to the desert in that corner of your state. I have driven the Original RR bed to Golden Spike but not with my trailer. yet. Often take the gravel road from Grouse Creek to Wendover and have taken my trailer on it. Several weeks ago was on the north end of it again and camped near Lucin. Ruined a tire on the TV so headed back early. I now have 2 spares for it. Can get into more trouble now. 8)

I can't think of any Banners that I know. There is an Optomitrist around here that is a Banner.

Oh... And hope I do too. That'd be a good gathering to debut my tear, 'cause it's gonna be emblazened with petroglyphs...
Hey Doug... Is that the story of Walking Eagle?

You're gonna finish it???? And by next year even!!!!! 8)

Sorry, couldn't help myself

It is going to take Dean so long that by the time he is done with it the wood on his teardrop will petrify and be perfect for petroglyph carving.

We too are thinking about this one.

Camped at Great Basin NP this past summer before heading to IRG and loved it. It's a long drive from Los Osos (Raccoonville), but Hwy 50 is such a great road, last time we drove it must have seen all of 4 cars for 200 miles. Ok, I exaggerate, it was only 2 cars.

I wish I still lived in that area. We lived in Winnemucca, NV and loved it there. Husband work'd for Davy McKee Constructors in one of the mines called Gold Fields right outside of Battle Mountain. We camped about an hour from there on a small trout filled lake, surrounded by Aspens. Beautiful country.
