You, my dear, are too kind ... ... but I'm certainly glad you liked them. I'm thinking, though, that Sunday morning is not the best time to whip out the flapjacks ... maybe Friday morning ... ...?

My good man, I see your point regarding one's typical Day of Departure and the long road that lay ahead...

And as I seem to be required in the coming months to adhere to a most rigorous work schedule I may not be in attendance until Saturday mornings... therefore I for one would like to hear one's thoughts on a Saturday FlapFest.

:coffee:

Of course my input may bear little weight considering the fact that I have not yet had the pleasure of knowing the Gathering's company...

I for one think there should a compromise by all parties as to what day there should be flapjacks by having them on both Friday and Saturday. For those 'waffling' on this issue, might I suggest that waffles be served on Friday with a flapjack chaser, and on Saturday flapjacks be served with a waffle chaser. And some sausage, bacon, and...

I concur... at the very least, if not some sort of breakfast meat substance, then a good, sharp CHEESE. But the point of discussion here, good sir, is the consumption of not just griddle cakes but the most amazing griddle cakes the world has ever known! (as contemporary legend would have it) and on which particular day.

Can you believe that there are those unfortunates among us, including myself, that must cast limits upon one's own intake of sodium? It is an outrage, I tell you!

There isn't a lot of salt in griddle cakes. (Well, at least not until you cover the thing with bacon...)

Well I'm a little late getting my pic's of the gathering.

Well most everyone pretty much new that this gathering coinsided with national Pirate Day.
So I brought Captian Jack Sparrow along.

Image
(But I think Captian Sparrow wished that I left him at home)

Here Randy is drewling over the last two pieces of Doug's great tasting dutch oven pizza. (which is understandable it was very good)
We ate 2 pizza's at this sitting.

Here's Captain Jack checking out John's new Teardrop Bird House.

My galley with new additions added (Mirror Finished Stainless)

here's a pic of Joanne's TD nestled in the trees.
Image

There's one thing you will find with this great group of Teardroppers & that is everyone's campsite is open to everyone it is like one big happy family.
There are no "clicks" with this great group we all eat, drink, camp & party together.

Image

Doug had just arrived he was in his campsite maybe 5 minutes.
One sip of the Moose Drool & Doug thought he could fly.

It is sad to say but the axle broke on one of the hubs while driving at Hi-way speed out side
of Winnimuca NV. Causing loss of control & thus the Teardrop to roll threw the the desert it
was lucky that the safety chains broke because if they did'nt the HHr tow vehicle would of
also rolled & may have caused some serious harm to the driver.
But he & all of use are greatfull that he was not harmed.

Doug is in awe when he see's the old table.
(I,m not sure if his awe is due to seeing the table or realizing part of his past is in a museum)
!!!HOW OLD ARE YOU!!!
Doug, Just kidding

Image

Everyone eating & talking around the fire this was our nightly ritual.
Except this night a few of us after most everyone called it a night decided to head for the
natural hot springs out in the desert.

It was really it was great at the springs, the stars we're so bright it was like you could touch
them, the hot pot we ended up at sat up on a hill over looking the valley, you could see for
miles, there was a distant glow on the horizon to the South of us in the direction of area 51
the ladies in the pool did not want to hear anything about area 51 or alien's, But we could not
resist.
(Lights we're most likely Las Vegas some 300 miles away)

SORRY I CAN NOT POST THESE PIC'S ON THIS FORUM.
WHAT HAPPENS IN NEVADA STAYS IN NEVADA.
Pic's are on my website.

I hope that Doug & Kevin have plenty of water they may be waiting awhile.
Image

Here Doug is setting up some targets for us to shot at.
We we're along ways away from our campsite & no animals we're harmed
just a few cans & Captian Jack Sparrow (Jack was a cardboard figure)

Image

After going threw a few hundred rounds you can see Captian Jack faired pretty well, The cans did not fair nearly as well.
After we we're done we did bag up all of the shot up cans & Jack & hauled them back to camp.
Image

A little shower moved threw the valley & left this behind.

A yummy Prime Rib.

Here's our version of the burning man.

Farwell to National Pirate Day & Farwell to Captain Sparrow.

RRR-RRR
( I think Captain Sparrow would have preffered walking the plank)

Some of the pic's I posted here did'nt show up,but they are all on my website so go check them out because
THERE ARE ALOT MORE PICTURES ON MY WEB SITE.

Just go to the Gatherings Main Page.
