Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I too am looking to attend the Thanksgiving Gathering as my very first TnTTT or any other deliberate teardrop gathering. I did go camping once over on the Kern River, imaging my surprise when I pulled in the very little camp ground and there was another teardrop! We had fun comparing trailers but they were leaving as I was starting. So, this is my very first gather and I too would hate to drive 5 house and then find that the campground was closed!!

I make a mean 3 bean chili which I would like to offer up along with some DO cornbread.

Please keep this forum posted as to what's going on with this campground. Is there someplace that could be used as a backup?

We are keeping an eye and ear on the park closures. I will be also looking for a possible change of location with in the area. We have some ideas. What for up dates.

We can't attend this gathering but I'm very excited to see your new rig Roly!!

We are giving the officials until the 15th of the month to do the right thing. If they have not agreed to release the parks from their hostage list, I have a back up in the works. Stay tuned for the details. Thanksgiving with out our teardrop friend will not be held hostage by our government.

I've also heard that there were volunteers from the surrounding communities that asked to monitor the campgrounds and other places in Capitol Reef to keep things going, but their offer was refused. All this makes me believe that this gov't shutdown is just to cause pain and attempt to sway public opinion. (I had better stop there.)

This sounds like a great gathering. I am going to try and go to it. Count me 75% in.

Oh, I was thinking that thanksgiving DOG meant they was going to cook dog for the meal. Yum yum

It's time to start preparing for the Thanksgiving Gathering. The Lake is open!!!! The barricades came down last night! Several of our water rats with their canoes celebrated with a moon lite paddles.

Thank you all for your interest in this event! I can't wait to meet the new attendees and see all of our friends we have camped with in the past! I'll be arriving on Thursday morning Just look for the Pink Flamingos set up in front of our the Pink Penguin Inn!

One week to go until the start of the event. The weather has cooled down to a comfortable Southwest fall. 70-80 in the days and 50-60 at night. Great camping weather! I can't wait to kick off the fall camping season next week!
