I don't think so. Humor is art. Burning Man is about art. Ergo...

the art theme was just announced; hope and fear: the future.

tickets go on sale Jan 18, noon PST, starting at $175. after 7000 aare sold, the price goes up, and up, and up.

several teardroppers have said they might go, so hoping to have a small (or large) teardrop gathering there.

see my post in general discussion for some links, etc.

It's that time of year when the Man will burn again!!! Enjoyed re-reading some of the comments from last year.

This year's theme is "THE GREEN MAN" with emphasis on recycling, reuse, and the yearly mantra of Leave no Trace. I've heard some advance weather reports that it is VERY VERY windy and dusty. may be THE BROWN MAN before the week is over

I just got home from So Lake tahoe, and saw lots of vehicles obviously heading to Black Rock City. How can I say "obviously"???

Notable by lots of bikes tied on top of mysterious looking objects wrapped in tarp, chicken wire, or fur....saw one really fun psychedelic school bus with close to 50 bikes on top. No doubt they are heading to Black Rock City!!!  much of the Silicon Valley goes on hiatus during this week, as all the techno geeks split for the Playa.

I'm heading up tuesday night with my teardrop, will be camping with both my son AND my daughter!!! will certainly have to put some more thought into my...attire.

Hope to look up Chris and Cherie, who live full time in their T@b. spotted them heading east on I-80 today.
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

8) Have a great time, Sue!
Keep your cool while soaking up the atmosphere.
I'm sure you'll have to "tone down" the outfit a bit this year with the young ones attending, and probably skip the Bike Parade?? :o

Nah, I didn't think so.   Enjoy.
