that looks like a pretty fun festival. I just saw Riders in the Sky last month and they were a great act! it was a tribute to Gene autry so heard lots of great old music.

hope someone plans a teardrop gathering for the event!
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

Yep, first time with the new engine. Although I'm going to do a test run to Tehachapi and back to see how cool it stays towing. Let's see, 4 core radiator, correct fan, fan shroud and 160 deg thermostat. Should be okey. It runs between 185 & 200, not towing (up here in the desert where it's been hot).

Darn, I forgot about the D.O. cookoff down in Fillmore. Wanted to run down there and say hi to Joanne and see if I could get a piece of her bread.
;)

P.S. Tanya will also want one.

Hey Gage,

It would have been fun to see you! We had a TON of food. I made Mexican Corn Bread in my cast iron "spider" skillet and a 14" pot of Herb-Garlic Rolls. They both came out good. I would have been glad to let you both sample some. Most likely I'll be making them both at SLO as well.

I even got to meet Cliff and Vanessa! What a great couple, and an awesome trailer. I look forward to seeing them again at the SLO. You guys are really going to like them.

Take care!

Joanne, I'll bet you that you drove right by my house twice (well within 2 miles). We live in Palmdale on the East side off of 138. Yep, Cliff & Vanessa are good people. Did they have thier trailer up in the camp ground?

Lucky Day! Today I met a local guy who has a teardrop. He's lending it to me for the gathering. Thank you, thank you, thank you Spencer! :) 8) :D

Oh man Gage! If I knew that you were in Palmdale I would have stopped in. I spent Thursday night at the Park and Ride parking lot where the Pearblossom highway joins 14. Of course it was late by then and I wouldn't have felt good about dropping in on you that late. I would have stopped by on the way home on Sunday morning though.

Cliff and Vanessa had their 16' travel trailer there. It sure was a cute trailer. It make quite the splash at the gathering. Everyone was talking about it. I can't wait to see their progress on the "new" trailer. That's going to be a really neat build.

Take care!
