I most likely won't be making it. I've got too much yard/house stuff that needs to be done prior to winter...IE...scrape and touch up paint the house and some tree trimming/finish a fence etc.... Hope you all have a great time...the high desert camping in N. Nev. is always nice. Keep an eye out for Cap'n Jack's ghost! Doug

A change of residence and trying to sell my condo has me moving to another part of Ogden that weekend. I regret that I can not make the Glyphs this year. I know how good an event it is and will be thinking of everyone while I am hauling furniture. Somewhere along the way, I will raise a beer and wish all a great gathering.

That was 7 years, 2 accidents, 1 surgery, and a LOT of medications ago! You expect me to remember everyone who was there ... :? ...?

Still doesn't answer the question of just WTF "glassic" (better known as "glassice") is, and I really don't have time for silly guessing games, riddles, or puzzles. What is it my grandkids say ...? Oh, yeah ... "Whatever!"

CHEERS!

So, what's with that? Sorry I said something. I'll mind my own business from now on.

Hey guys.
Sam and Kat here.

We just posted an intro in the newbies section.

We don't have a tear yet, but are thinking of building one. have been lurking here for a couple of months gathering info, and are starting to firm up some ideas.

However, we have never seen a teardrop other than watching them go past on the road.

We might be near Austin on the 17th, and were wondering if we could stop by and check out some tears in person. That is, if you wouldn't be offended with us parking a 30' toyhauler nearby... :o

I highly recommend it! We are over in Lovelock and are halfway through our build when we camped with the folks in our "soft sided tear" (tent) at the first Glyphs two years ago. Met a lot of great people and some great tears, really helped us decide how to finish up ours. We won't be there this year, except in spirit. I'm sure Grant or Kay will chime in here soon to confirm.

By the way, you are welcome to take the 2 hour drive to Lovelock and visit tour ours anytime. We are spending lots of time in CC lately, to visit my hand doctor  . We actually came through CC last weekend with the tear on our way to a tear get together over by Placerfille.

We will be camping in Berlin State Park the weekend after Labor Day if you want to go for a drive and stop by. Johnny in Reno is about finished with his build and Dave will soon be starting (or so we hear!) . Lots of folks in nor cal would be willing to let you look at theirs too!

Be sure and check out the tearjearker site, there is a brand new Nevada chapter. The directors are down in Vegas, and there are a goodly number of them in the south, but they want to make it a truly statewide group with gatherings across the state.

Welcome to the tear world--Debbie
