I just want to say that it was very unfeeling of Ken to brag that he will be bringing a bowling ball in a message that immediately followed Dave who said he will have to miss the gathering because his back is out.

I'm sorry Dave. I wish you had the strength to get in and out of your teardrop without agonizing pain shooting up and down your spine. While there may be some bowling happening over the weekend, don't you feel left out, okay?

:( :( :( :( :(

Its sad but true. I was the first one back home. I had to work for the man at 4pm on saterday and made it home just in time. The gathering was GREAT!! And the people as always were 1/2 the treat. LOTS of great trailers! I even got to share the road with another teardrop for the very first time! It was Wes on the way to the gathering. It was SO COOL seeing another teardrop ahead!!! I was like a kid that spotted the ice cream man. HAHAHA! And I think Joanne came home with a real raccoon hat she made her self at the gathering! HAHAHA! (sorry Joanne)

AAAAAND...... i didnt get a single picture. :( So hurry up everyone and get back to post those pix!

Just a little color from the campfire...

Let me set the scene, its late at night, everyone is a little tense, the smell of cigar smoke and rum in the air, a campfire crackles, As we all try to stay calm after the previous evenings wilding by a band of masked critters the owner of the rocketear begins a tail in his best Robert Shaw voice....

“SoCal submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side, chief. It was comin' back, from the island of Montana De Oro, just delivered the Dutch Ovens. Didn't see the first Raccoon for about a half an hour. Grey One. Thirteen footer. You tell by lookin' from the little mask to the tail. Well, we didn't know. `Cause our waffle mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. Very first light, chief. The raccoons come cruisin'. When a raccoon come near a man and then he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes the raccoon would go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that raccoon, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a raccoon, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. Y'know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men! I don't know how many raccoons, maybe a thousand! I’ll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water, three hundred and sixteen men come out, the raccoons took the rest, September 14th 2007 Anyway, we ate a bunch of waffles.

Ma3tt....Thanks for the great pics. That DO spread made my mouth water. Too bad there wasn't audio to go with the DO demo. Your little trailer would have fit right in where I was at too. I just got back from the Tin Can Tourist fall gathering in Milford MI. About 70 various units there. Got to see in person some of the trailers which were featured in the Travel Channel's show which featured many teardrops and other vintage trailers. There were many "Labors of Love" there with many hours of work. You guys look like you had a great time too
