I am in my standy, looks just like the Flying hippo i had before. Did not get any one to take a picture of me in it but what I did was make a trap door in the foot well so I can stand on the ground and as I made it high off the ground for rough/4x4 roads I Can stand in it.

8) 8)

Also in DV found a way to use the pieces to make a rather comfortable chair inside with my feet hanging out. Probably not to good in low temps but even the high winds we had the draft up the "rabbit hole" was not bad at all. I call the door "The Alice Door". It closes the rabbit hole.

Now that you can stand in it, I see a toilet and shower coming next.

Mary Vandusen who I met for the first time at Why AZ wrote me a note
and sent me these (Mary's) pics of her setup and views at the Glyphs this time.

I don't think Mary posts here ~ so I am posting her pics to let
people see where Teardrop's and real weather come to a reckoning.
The lonely highway 50 before summer can be cold, to be sure.

Mary was too much fun and what a trooper she is  When she arrived she said "Am I crazy or what?" She fit right in... She is also an artist who made coffee mugs for everyone who showed up with "The 2nd annual Glyphs Gathering" "Austin Nevada 2010" Each one is hand made and one of a kind. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Be careful if you walk by my trailer and see a pair of feet next to a plastic bucket.

Found it on "Camp Cook' by Joanne....
Peaches, chunked pineapple if you want, a little cinnamon, I added a dash of almond extract, and cheap tube refridgerator cinnamon rolls on top.

The "glyphs"

Postby potter123 » Thu Apr 08, 2010 11:13 pm

Hi Guys,
What a great time! A bit chilly, but a good test for the old bones. First time I have had to put food in the cooler to keep it from freezing! Two day drive to get home to sunny Scottsdale but already miss the crisp Nevada air.
Kay, your chowder was fantastic! :applause: Thanks to Steve, I am venturing out into the world of Dutch Ovens.
See you all soon, I hope!

What's this about the "slip & slide?"
Yes, I must confess, my bottom is still frozen. Next year will be even more of a memory! 8) 8)
