I enjoyed my time at the gathering, what little time I actually got to be there. The record rainfall didn't bother me, it's just heavy fog if you really think about it. ;)
My highlights included meeting and talking with Rob Fisher and seeing the gang again.
Ron Dickey presented me with an award... I now own one of his gunports!!! 8)
I'm very glad to be home, not from the gathering, but from the shutdown I worked over there during the gathering.
On Sunday morning, just before lunch a coworker in a confined space above the confined space I was working in, removed the wrong piece of cast iron equipment scheduled for removal.
It fell through a cast iron pipe right above my head... If not for my hard hat I would be dead.
I still have a headache, stiff neck and back, just glad to be here and out of there.

WE CAME......WE SAW.......WE CONQUERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't remember exactly how that goes but you all can get the idea....
Thanks to Grant and Lisa and everyone else who made the 16th annual a memory none of us will EVER forget! Inspite of the gully washing storm it was great seeing everyone and sharing the greatest eats imaginable.
Thanks to all.......... :applause: Steve and Patty

Wow Dean,

Glad to hear you are ok. It was definitely a dirty job. A special thanks to Kevin and Doug for the loan of tarps and bungees after I had forgotten the cover to my popup frame. It worked out well.

We sadly made it back to Vegas late last night so Jan could get back to work today.(100 degree weather :fan: & no rain in sight here :( .)

We had a great time I also was able to check out my new awning set up that I made, & with all of the rain we had I was glad that I put it up.

I also built a new detatchable T-Drop Dropper the day before we left Vegas, Jan wanted me to remove it she did not want anyone to see it,
& she said that she would never use it  But after people seen it & most peoples response was man I wish we had one, Jan kind of changed her mind & with all of the rain it did get used in the middle of the night.

There was alot of great food & alot of realy nice WET people.
We arived Wed & left Sun we stayed the durration & we would do it again. The sun did come out for awhile on Sun.

After we left the Dam Gathering we headed south down the coast to get away from the rain & find some sunshine.

Sunday we drove till about dark & found a CG in Bodega Bay(Gull CG):rainy:
Monday night we camped in Big Sur (Still raining) :rainy:
Tuesday night we camped in Pismo Beach :icedtea: :relaxing:
We finially found the sun & said good bye to the rain.

I will be going threw all of our pictures & wiil get some posted here on the forum & on my website in the Gatherings page.

Dean
I also want to thank you for the big Dutch Oven that you donated for the drawings. It will be put to good use.

 And we also want to thank Grant & Lisa.

We left Sat. and could not sleep in the trailer it got soaked when we put our stuff in the trailer even baged the water got through. took 2 full days to dry everying thing out. We wanted to stay longer but Lucia can not swim and the water was a rising!

there was a game they offered for new words for the itsy bitsy Spider I had know idea what the itsy spider tune sounded like so I wrote one using
Pop the Magic Dragon

Boxkite the magic Trailer stayed in a Sea
of Rain and mud
with too many teardrops for one to see.
Then one day it happened
The pople cheered with Glee
The rain had stopped
and their eye's Popped
to see
our magic trailer.
