I saw an ad in my triple A, magazine Westways something about a Teardrop event at lake Perris in Riverside County. Any body know anything about that? It didn't give any detail in the magazine such as a date or time.

What they mean by ' traditional teardrops only ' Is that a stand-up or 'T@B is not allowed. Any shape of teardrop is acceptable as long as it's a sleeper and the galley is outside with the exception of the Kampmaster or Wild Goose.

I'm not going this year but will be down there Saturday to do a walk-around and say hi.

Last year was a good gathering as far as the turn out and how well the gathering was put together. I myself will not be going to this gathering as long as its at that park. Or should i say parking lot?

Hey nic how the heck are you,we thought that you we're moving.
And are you implying that the gathering may as well of been held in the the Perris Walmart parking lot  It would be alot cheaper.
Hey :scratchthinking: I might be on to somthing, Get Wally world to sponser a humunges gathering and have a bunch of thier camping supply dealers there, With all of the Teardroppers using and demondstaighting there wares (Obviously we would get to keep all of the demo items  :) ). What do you think of that idea Nic.
Well enough of that We hope that is all well with you.

And yes we will be attending the Perris gathering & we are looking forward to it I am sure it will still be alot of fun, parking lot and all, Our plan is to leave Vegas thurs afternoon after Jan gets off of work and it will most likely be dark when we arrive there so we will be staying in the Wally world parking lot.

Nic I did not see your name on the IRG Redwood gathering roster.
You better get on it quick there's already about a 100 TD's on it, & there are not to many spots left,& it is realy beautiful there we tend to hit the redwoods a couple of times a year, Seen alot of bears last year,Pretty neat.

Can people unlucky enough not to have a tear come and tour the campground and look, or is this a owners only event?

Any one is welcome to walk around, teardroppers are a friendly group. If you like teardrops & don't have one it is a perfect place to take a tour. If you are thinking of getting one, looking at all different kinds is wise. We walked around last year, before ours was done, but won't be there this year.

A good time to go there and look around is Saturday. That's when every one has their tear looking it's best and the public is more than welcomed. So please do go and look around and ask all the questions you want. TearDroppers love showing off their teardrops.

Heya Ken, im still here in los angeles. My work has me here a bit longer than i wanted to be. Im heading out the 28th of april. Moving to a spot of land i picked up on Lake Tenkiller in OKlahoma.
Good idea on the wal-mart idea!! HAHA! I like the part about keeping the gear the most. lol I think if they moved the gathering off the parking lot to a place with grass or something like a camp ground it would be the best gathering on the west coast. 8)
I would love to make it to the redwoods this year! Everytime it makes me sick that i miss out on it. The redwood gathering is the one gathering each year that i want to go to. But with the price of gas this year i am for sure not going to make it. Or maybe i can strap some kites to my car and camper to pull me to the red woods. hahahaha! I just got back from the winchester house near the bay area and it took about $200 in gas. Not sure how far the red woods are but im sure its past San Fran.

Hope ya'll have a great gathering and hope we don't keep anybody awake. If you hear a lot of noise Saturday night we will be running the sprint car red #48 at the Perris Auto Speedway at the west end of the lake. 800/HP on the dyno Wednesday night.

Was that by "Norm's Count", "Dave's Count", or "Deane's Count" ... ... ... ... ...?

Oh, yeah ... that's right ... most of you don't know "Flatbed" Norm Markus and his infamous counting system ... or about Dave's counter-counting system ... :? ... :? ... but you can count on "Deane's Count" ... :applause: ... PDR!

CHEERS!

The Perris Gathering turned out to be a pretty nice get together a little cooler then I expected I had to purchase a few new blankets scince I took out all of heavy blankets antisipateing warmer weather other then that it was great and a great turn out of teardroppers & potential teardroppers, there we're tons off looky lou's,(Lots of fun)

I will be posting a bunch of pictures and a vidieo on my website real soon of this gathering & our trip home.
It may take a few days before I have them posted I have to go threw 500+ pics, Soon as I go threw these pics and get them posted I will let everyone know.

And I am going to try to orginize the first Sin City teardroppers Gathering to be held in Oct or Dec at Calico Gost Town just out of Barstow, This location I think may have the potential to possily drawing some of you Ca. & AZ. folks along with us Nevadans I have been in touch with the folks at Calico, & We also stayed there on the way home from Perris Lake. I will soon be posting something reguarding the possibility of a Calico gathering on the main pages of this forum real soon.
