George,
As long as you don't exceed the weight limit, you should be able to do that!

The track won't have a center groove and the lanes will be larger than 4" so make sure they track well.

It has too look like a teardrop; not a block of wood with wheels.

The total maximum length including the tongue is 8" the total maximum width is 4" over all. Any thing sticking out further will be cut off.

The weight is 16 ounces or less.

See you at the races.

Will there be a weigh in to qualify/classify the racers?

Cliff....while I'm not certain of who has a scale, I'm sure one will be there to weigh in on. So who has a scale to bring? A 4x8" box will also be there to fit over the racers for dimensions. I used the guys at the post office in the grocery store for a weight. I need to add some, then take it back for a final preliminary weight to get me where I need to be. Doug

I can see the post in a tread now...."Handy Racer DQ'ed for weight violation!"
As I am currently a few oz. under the max (by my scales), I might ship it to CA with a couple of "removable weights" so that the nice folks that will racing our long distance entrants for us can quickly adjust, just in case our scales don't agree!
