Gail asked I post this:
-----------

Open to all vintage trailers prior to 1980 as well as teardrops, fiberglass trailers, airstreams, and pop-up tent trailers of all years.

Catalina State Park is located in the rolling foothills to the Catalina Mountains. The park boosts shady hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and horse trails (horses for rent at the entrance to the park) as well as Indian ruins, a seasonal stream, and photographic stands of mesquites and saguaros. The park is located minutes away from grocery stores, shopping centers, and western eateries. In addition, maps will be provided to local thrift stores, antique malls, and points of interest such as Old Tucson, The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and the annual Oktoberfest on nearby Mt. Lemmon.

We have the large group area reserved for a 4-day campout and…for the long distance traveler…we also have the small group area for the following Halloween weekend. Arrangements can be made to camp a full week. The two areas share a large shower/ bathroom facility with ample electric plugs and mirrors - it is by far the finest and newest facility in the state park system. A dishwashing station is located along the side of the building. Water is also available in the group cooking/eating area but electricity is not. The fenced group cooking and eating area has plenty of BBQs, an enormous fire pit (okay to use even when the park ban fires), and over a dozen large tables under an enormous metal ramada.

Please decorate your trailer for the season, and people’s choice awards will be issued for the best decorated trailer inside and the best decorated trailer outside.
We will have a no host meet-and-greet Friday night, trailer tours Saturday, and a potluck dinner and awards Saturday night. A pancake breakfast will be served Sunday so those pulling out do not have extra dishes to wash.

This year we will be separating the campers into two zones - the Witches Den- circling the group ramada area- and the Bat Cave- the tree lined area towards the back of our campsite. Children will be asked not to run and play near the Bat Cave- it is a quiet zone for those who wish to enjoy nature…and an afternoon nap.

To register, please email [email protected] for a form. You will be asked to send a nonrefundable $5 event fee and indicate your trailer information and your preference for the Witches Den or Bat Cave. The actual camping fee is $15 per night and is payable to the Rangers at the entrance.

This is a tough choice

Car Show with trailer

Camping with trailer

Two of my favorite things.

I am planning on going to the Spooktacular, with the Goodguys show around the corner I can skip the other car show. At the moment I'd rather camp, I have only been back from the Spamboree less than a week and already need to get away from my job.

Eddie,

I didn't know you had a job. I thought you just made teardrops and hung out with Bud. :o

See you at Catalina.

Good pics Jim but you didn't get that 5' rattle snake that was sunning himself at the entrance.
