Must be neat to camp among the cactus, I've only camped in the woods. I bet star gazing is great out there.

I know it does not look like it but this park is really in the middle of the city so the city lights impair the stars. I have heard that at the WHY gathering the stars are as good as they get. Check out http://www.azroundup.net

We just got back from the “Spring Clean Event” in Mesa AZ. We had a great time! We got to meet some new people and old acquaintances from our first teardrop gathering (the “Last Gasp of Summer” in Canyon City Colorado). We actually managed to take a full week off from work and make the trip. In all, we put just under 2,000 miles on the tear without any problems. Now I know the board runs on pictures, but we didn't take a single picture at the gathering!
:shock:

But, I offer this one from our trip home.
