We were at the SCTT Gathering and had a great time. More teardrops than last year and about 20 newbie, first time to this event folks.

The Friday night Dutch Oven cooking potluck was fantastic. Learned a lot from some pretty accomplished DO cooks.

Thank you, Cliff and Vanessa, for the wonderful pictures you shared here. You certainly snapped a good variety! It is fascinating to see the amount of ingenuity and skill displayed! Teardroppers come up with so many ideas and display so much talent that it is sometimes mind boggling as well as awesome. Your pictures were a real treat! :applause:

It was nice that you came up and introduced yourself, and asked if I was a member of this forum. it was good to see a persons I too recognized again from this forum.

Mike it was also nice to meet you. I saw the electrical box, and immediately remembered your trailer. Nice to put a face with trailer.

Repost, just a few of my comments in the other thread.

Living in So. Cal. I made the trek to Lake Perris for the afternoon. This year the event was a bit more spread out to give the participants more elbow room. It was a nice warm spring day. It is very SURPRISING how many people never heard of this forum on the net. When ever I asked, "Are you on the Mike N'Chell.com's forum?", the answer I got, was No, what is it. I just figured, I could make a connection here with some of the people I talked to at the event.

There were several people that were camping for the first time, in the their just built trailers. The stories were similar: I visited last year, and got interested. Then I built a trailer of my own, and this is my first outing. No, I never heard of TT & TTT, www.mikenchell.com/forum before.

I was getting tired of writing the whole URL out for people, http://www.mikenchell.com/forum. I am going to print some half sheets up next time, and put one in everyone's trailer, like the car shows next time.

Here is one example:

I did not take a picture of every trailer there, but here are a few I did take. CLICK HERE

Cliff and Vanessa, thanks for the great pics. It was a successful gathering and as I wandered about, I met 2 guys that were non-campers when I gave them the low down about building a tear last year, when they walked in to look around. However, this year they both were proud to show me their own teardrops, which they built upon returning home. It sure makes me feel that all that talking I did wasn't in vain. You never know whose creative juices will be put to work with a little encouragement.

Roly,
Perhaps we were walking on the opposite sides of the campground. When I reached your trailer, you were not there. Perhaps you were offsite at the time dealing with family matters. Good for you! It must be a cool feeling when you get others interested, and they come back to show you their trailers.

Hello All

I have heard that SCTT's 14th gathering to be held at Lake Perris march 18-21 2010, had the registration page open, but every link to www.teardroptours comes up with a "unable to connect" I have tried from work, at home,
tried linking through LilBear's destination page, I get the same thing, is it just me or .......???

I hope there is not a problem, other than technical difficulties, SCTT is a great gathering, here in So. CA, had 124 Tear drops officially last year.

Thanks Ed

I was able to link from your post with my blackberry, double checked url as I have it, it is identical to yours.
Attempted to go via my computer, no such luck....now I am really confused, I can't even link through your post as I did with the blackberry.
I just want to get my registration out of the way
Oh well I'll keep trying, I may have to deleat my current url's for SCTT, reboot, re-enter url and try again, sounds silly, but have done the same for others in the past.
