We will be camping New Years Eve Weekend at Callville Bay Camp Ground at Lake Mead Recreational Park. Joanne and I have enjoyed this location in the past.

All are welcome to join us. So far we are planning a New Year's Day Pot Luck Dinner.

All sites are first come first serve, but the campground is wonderful and about 20 minutes from the strip, for those who need the neon lights and night life.

Please let us know if you are planning to attend. I will add names as people send interest.

Can't do it... We'll be camping out at the county public works office during that time, keeping our place in line to rent Pamplin Grove for IRG3.0 (July 2010)

Wow - that is some serious deja vu Dean. I still have the images in mind of your past "cold" sacrifice for the forum. Hard to believe it's almost time for you to once again stake a claim for us at Pamplin. That mission is like the Oklahoma land rush ... (only minus the horses).

The Las Vegas Dutch Oven Society just returned from our annual turkey roast at Callville Bay.

The food, fellowship and camping was great. I am looking forward to the next camping at the lake. While driving in to the campground we saw a big horn sheep. The watch for animal sign are real.

Hope to see new friends and old friends for New Years Eve Weekend!

Hey folks,

As an incentive to show up and join us, here's some photos I took this past weekend as I left the campground.

We also eat pretty well when we camp! :D

If you don't have anything already planned, we'd love to have you join us for a relaxing weekend.

Jeez, Joanne, you sure know how to make a fog rat jealous! Wish I could be there! :(
But I did have a little fun on the way home from the wedding after the Glyphs:

Joanne

How do you cook one of those in a dutch oven?

I'll be in Vegas from Dec. 26 - Jan. 3 working on a condo I just bought. If I can get away, I'll stop by.

Dave,
Just a couple of questions. How much is the camp ground and is there electricity for my heater?
A camping trip sounds a lot better than sitting at home watching TV! :D

Thanks
Scott

Will you have internet access to keep us posted? It'll be a lot better than watching Times Square for that ball to drop.

The only reason I knew is I looked into it just last night. And if I'm not mistaken it's only $10.00 a night. I could be wrong on that though.

By the way, are you going to Parker?
