I camp along the old rail bed. Mostly between Kelton and Lucin. South of Lucin up in the Pilot mountains. Lots of ground out there. Lot of it is private owned but no fences and not often patrolled. The rail bed is probably a part of the Golden spike monument. But all in all there is miles and miles of camping out there. I all of the trips I have done out there I can only remember meeting one other person.

I just did a trip out there. 3 degrees that morning. Brrrrrrr. COLD :frightened:

why I put myself through such punishment is beyond me.

Ah, you found the tunnels. I have not been to them just seen them from the Pilot Mountain road on my way to/from Wendover. Weather has warmed up here this morning. 10 degress F at 7 am. First time in about a week it has been above 0. Many days it did not get above 10, or even reached 10.

Is this a car-show at Willard S.P.
Sounds like a good place for a meet. Then if eveyone wanted to camp we could figure out where to go from there.
Would everyone agree ?
Im sure i'll have the 32 pullin the tear but im not affraid to go on dirt.

Here's something that im looking into doing in June. The Lincoln Highway from the nevada border following the "Pony Exspress trail" into salt lake. http://www.lincolnhighwayassoc.org/
I stopped at this monument earlier this year and want to try it out.

I have done most of Highway from the Fish Springs to Nevada. Some empty land out there. And a few Pony express stations.

I did the Lincon Hwy trip last week . Went from Faust to Hwy 93a via the pony exspress trail. Saw the Lincoln Hwy group a mile or 2 before the end . Didn't get to take the 32 cause I have to fill out a packet from the DMV and that will take 30-90 days to process any history on the car . I still hope to make the Willard CS . When is that show ???

Just did a short couple of nights in American Fork. The Willard Car Show is July 20, 2013 3-7 Milstream Classic Car Museum Car Show 255 E. 1080 N. Willard, UT

I went to it last year and meet Punched there. I am planning on going this year so lets see how many trailers we can get.

I am going to the Element11 thing at Seabase near Grant on Thrusday. Last year I was the only teardrop there and gave ton of tours. See if I hooked anyone else.
element11.org

It is sort of a regional Burning Man

Dang. Amazing how fast a year goes by. I wanted to go to that element 11 thing. Bring us back some pics please.
Kinda broke right now so I wont be going anywhere for awhile but Id still like to make that carshow .
Any cost on the entry ???

Went to a car show in WVC and saw 3 homebuilt tears behind hotrods but they were really small 4x6ish wich made mine seem huge .

I don't have any big trips planned till Oct/Nov so if you still wanted to plan a gathering im up to it.
Lets bounce around some ideas about a location and date . Maybe somewhere between Salt lake and Ogden .

20 for the entry if I recall. I recall the first teardrop I ever saw was at a car show in Colorado. Gremlin hitting her head on the side table. I might do a car show however I need to clean it up some.

Just got back from Element 11. Sorry, did not take a single picture. I am not one for taking many pictures and really there are few people that take pictures. Kind of strange that way.
I gave a whole mess of tours of the trailer. I mean a whole whole mess of them. And at night I fired up 2 of my lanterns to light the road near my trailer. They graveled it with some stuff of large irregular crap and it rained all 3 days so there was mud puddles at the the side of the gravel. People appreciated the light.

Something that i have been bouncing around is this. At the Cabelas in Reno they did a single day of setting up the trailers to show them off. As I recall it was during Cabeleas Camping week. I have wanted to contact teh Cabelas in Lehi or even maybe Scheels in Draper to do teh same thing. A teardrop show and tell for a day. What do people think.

As far as a gathering how about something up by Mirror Lake?

Cabela's or a gathering in the Mirror Lake area might be interesting. Even though our tear isn't 100% complete (are they ever? :D ) we are already out using it this summer. I'm not sure about how the group sites are along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway but the reserved individual sites are hard to come by. We are going to try to make Walk The Wind this year and hopefully a trip to Yellow Stone. Please keep us updated.
