Utah. Any interest in a gathering ?

So for funsies, im camping at painted rocks right now.
Gives me a chance to train the new dog and check things out for October 13th.
Really nice campground. Power is on but no water yet.
I've heard it's half price when the water is shut off.
Weather is good and sunny, slight breeze.
Gonna explore more tomorrow.

Any particular campsite your interested in, power or primitive ?

I forgot to update about the Painted rocks campground...
Great campsite with power and water.
Peaceful.
I did explore the painted rocks area.
Looks like a good easy 4wd trail with great views of the lake.

On the way home I did break down near Springville. Called AAA and took the shameful tow truck ride home.

The fix ::;
Was one of the crank or cam sensors or ASD (engine) relay .
Replaced both sensors and relay.
Seems to run good now and even increased my mpg's .
Should be good to go for October.

I can do power or primitive. I liked Yuba when I went there. Have you been out to the parowon gap? This year more northern would be easier for me because my daughter is due early July and I've already taken a bit of time off of work.

Are you going to WTW this year?

Been trying to reply but Tapatalk isn't cooperating.
Haven't been to the Parawon gap, yet.
WTW , I probably won't make that either. With this "Burden gas" already at $4 gal I'll be keeping it in the state for now.

Its been a few months. I thought I'd touch base with everyone.

Here's what I have noted.
1.)Gehcha----- non beach location.
2.)Desert moose---- beach ok. With group.
3.)Jen123----- either

Reservations are 1st come first serve in October. Should have plenty to choose from.

Yes. October 13th, 2023 at Yuba state park.
Exit 202 off I-15 .
Probably meeting at/near Oasis campground and then seeing our options from there.
There's primitive, beach and "hookups" camping all close to eachother.

I will be doing a trail run that Saturday afternoon. Most vehicles will be able to do.

Getting closer. What time should we show up? You mentioned getting together to decide where to camp, so where will we hang out while waiting for everyone?

I'd be ok with camping wherever you say to go.

Also, with such a small group, are we going to try and do a potluck or anything?

I have that Friday off. Hoping to get there by 11am. We can meet by the dam/boat ramp. It's the same entry as Oasis campground.
If it's cold, Oasis has power to run your heat. During the off season site's are 1/2 price. Water can be filled at the rv dump station across the street.

I haven't planned any activities other than a trail ride over to Painted rocks.
I have room in my truck if someone didn't want to off road thier vehicle.
There's some fishing too .
Also that Saturday is going to be a solar eclipse (ring of fire) and central utah is in the path to see it .

Be prepared for cold. Utah weather is unpredictable this time of year.
This gathering will still happen rain, snow or shine. Hoping for shine.
