Flour tortilla lays flat.

Spread marshmallow creme.

Drop milk chocolate or other morsel pieces onto the above.

Put on grill or griddle until chocolate melts.

Roll up and eat.

Before you roll it up though, add anything you want--sliced bananas, chopped strawberries, jarred preserves.

Also works well with lefse instead of tortillas...then you have Norski-mores!

Also, roll them up and wrap in foil and put on grill or over coals so the lefse (or tortilla) stays soft.

Ira...try sprinkling some cinnamon inside, too.

Reminds me, better check the supplies. ;)

I haven't even tried these myself yet--bought the ingredients this evening but didn't make them.

I saw this on my q site, and it looked to die for.

Ira...they are good.

Last year I made a variation of this (I use mini-marshmallows instead of marshmallow kreme) for the Ghirardelli Chocolate class at the state fair.

I had a tough time getting the tortilla crispy without scorching the chocolate bits inside (like pancakes, the first one is always a waste.) Then I decided to lightly butter the first side down on the grill, and give the tortillas a minute on the grill before sprinkling on the other stuff, and they came out nice and crispy outside, gooey and melty inside.

Unfortunately, they really need to be eaten as soon as they're cool enough to handle...taking them six miles down the road to the fair the tortillas lost a lot of crispness, and I didn't really like them with the chocolate and marshmallow kind of seeping through. Still tasted good, but they weren't very 'pretty' and pretty counts. The judges gave them 40 points out of 40 for taste, though...I just losttoo many points on 'appearance/presentation'!

Gaelen--I figured it's gonna be a real balancing act between cooking the tortilla and melting the other stuff at the right levels.

Here's my Q site, where half of the guys there actually compete. This is the link to the main Forum page. The Creative Cooking 101 forum was just added, so we can discuss other stuff to cook.

http://www.barbecuenews.com/forum/default.asp

These guys really know their stuff, and if you're into Q, which means slow cooking and smoking as opposed to grilling, this is the place to learn about it.

That sounds delicious Ira!! Some friends of ours did smores by putting marshmallows between chocolate chip cookies, wrapping it all in aluminum foil, and grilling it until the chips and marshmallows get gooey. Your recipe sounds even better!!
