My Kid Made Ice Cream In The Dutch Oven...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Mon Jun 21, 2010 9:05 pm

We've got 4 new dutch oven videos to share...
3 are dishes with recipes listed in the video description and 1 shows what some of our friends cooked during the Father's Day Campout at Swimmer's Delight.
My kid decided it switch from being behind the camera to being in front of the camera and show how he makes ice cream in the dutch oven. :applause:

Since it has eggs, wouldn't it be a frozen custard?

It looks interesting, but I think I'd probably make the cobbler in the DO, and being a purist, I'd make the ice cream in a hand cranked White Mountain ice cream maker...

At first I thought, "Whyyyy, that defies the laws of physics." Then I watched the film. :D That's actually a cool idea!

Now, I want some peach cobbler with a scoop of ice cream on top

We're trying to show how versatile the camp style dutch oven is for outdoor use...
