For sale is a hand-crafted teardrop camper trailer that has a good story to go along with it.

I built this camper five years too late. Our boys are now too old and too busy to go camping with their dad, so a damned-near brand-spanking new camper with all the goodies sits in our garage, waiting for fun. This teardrop was constructed in Winter 2013, and has been on exactly three easy camping trips. It is virtually new – garage kept during, and since, its construction.

I am not an expert, and I built this for fun and hobby. The finishing details are not as flawless as a factory model, but the price is nowhere near as high! Please note that teardrop camper dealers in my area sell 5x7 foot NO FRILLS campers starting at $3,596. This is a 5x8 foot camper with all of the upgrades listed below – upgrades worth about $1,000 retail value. Please check out the pictures.

Here’s some details:
• Constructed on a 5x8 foot Northern Tool HD trailer with 12” tires.
• All lumber is red oak, waterproofed, stained and varnished (and gorgeous!).
• Includes an Overdrive brand teardrop camper cover if you choose to store this camper outside. It was always garage kept at our house!
• Comes equipped with two six volt golf cart batteries in series, delivering 12 volts to all outlets and appliances.
• Includes portable battery charger for when you’re back home.
• Pennsylvania street legal - registered and titled.
• CATV (cable television) and 120 volt power hookups for campsites. Comes with 20’ CATV cable.
• Interior is loaded with:

‒ Rain guards on both doors.
• Galley is loaded with:
‒ Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart Grill with two 10,000-Btu burners, and several spare propane cannisters
‒ A full complement of cooking utensils
‒ Exterior light on galley door and an additional 12 volt portable lantern.
